New computer. Need much help

Thread Starter
Okay so I am completely noob to building a computer. But I am sick and tired of lag and freezes during gaming causing me many deaths frown.gif. I so decided to take a big step and build my own computer.

So far I have:

Intel Core i5 2400K LGA 1155

ASRock P67 Extreme4 Gen3 LGA 1155 P67 ATX

COOLER MASTER HAF 912

SAPPHIRE 100314-3L Radeon HD 6870

CORSAIR Vengeance 8GB

And I don't really know where to go from here.

I don't really have a true budget but I decided to stay under 800 if possible. (That's including a new monitor lol)

Are there better parts I could switch these for?

Sorry I did not tally theses up just slapped together fast. if your budget allows get the 6950 video obviously you can nix the power supply if you all ready have one if it's up to par.thumb.gif

If you live near a microcenter you can shave $50.00 bucks of a combo with 2500k.

Here's some suggestions for you.I think you meant 2500K not 2400K:D
450

Some of them have rebates too like the video card,PSU and case which comes to about $50 more in total savings.Go with the Z68 chipset like the one i suggested. You can upgrade to the new Ivy Bridge CPU if you want to later on.You can't do that on the P67's.And yeah like spectre1 said,Microcenter has the 2500K for $180.So that's another $50 off if you have them near you.Good luck thumb.gif
