XP > win7 upgrade question about slave HD

I'm am getting ready to upgrade XP to win7 and have a quick question. I currently have 2 hard drives, 1 with OS and programs and 1 as storage, if I save everything like music, game saves, pics, and what not to the slave drive E: and reformat drive C: and install win7 on C: will all my backed up files on E: be useable in the new 64bit environment? I'm worried that since the files were created in XP 32bit that they wont be compatible with win7. Thank you.

I was in your exact situation a couple of years back and I was still able to use everything on my slave drive. Upgraded from Windows XP 32 bit to Windows 7 64 bit.

Tip:
If you don't want to bother re-downloading all your steam games just put your Steam folder onto the slave drive too. (If you have Steam)
But for retail games it's better to re-install them. Make a back up of the save files on your slave drive if you don't want to have to start all over again thumb.gif
