Between getting rid of the grinding ram fan and the new psu i just cant express how happy i am with it all. There is absolutely no a sound from my pc now. Benchmarking is silent lol. Now to see if the new psu will allow for better overclocks on my gpu.

While playing bf3 i heard my fridge defrost

So its been a week and the ugly wires included with the psu became too much. After searching the web ive come to the understanding that these units are very similar to the corsair psu line up, specificly corsair units that are able to use Corsairs new individually sleeved wire kits being sold. I ordered the white AX1200 kit for my seasonic just now and sure hope that they work when they arrive.

http://www.corsair.com/power-supply-units/psu-accessories/professional-series-gold-ax1200-individually-sleeved-modular-cables-white.html

Now that i think about it, is it possable that the wiring could be different in the cables could be different as in different pin placement or are they universal. I would consterer them universal as extentions are universal and can be used on any psu to extend them. Hope im right.

Will post pics when they arrive in 6-8 days

The psu itself is amazing, absolutly silent. Heaven 2.5 did not even create a wisper. I held some tissue over the exaust to be sure the fan was really spinning. Very sexxy unit. I placed the psu in the bottom of the case and grill side up to pull air from the case and vent out the back. This way i see the "PLATINUM" when viewing via the side window and not a spec lable. The light from my Killer 2100 shines a nice circle pattern down onto the grill in red. LOVES IT.

The AX1200 wires are not compatible with SeaSonic PSUs, it's made by a different manufacturer (Flextronics) and uses a different pin-out. Cancel your order, the cables won't work.

I will cancel the order asap.

This makes me sad but not as sad as having to pay to find out.

Thanks for the speedy reply thumb.gif Most appreciated.

The Corsair AX850 cables *might* work, but I'm not positive.

So, not that im not shy to taking one for the team here, there are others who have asked this same question BUT, whats the worst case scenerio here, it does not start...worse...something creates some smoke. Dont want the smoke, really dont want that one.

One user posted that the AX1200 uses 14-10 for the pins and seasonic uses 18-10, dont know what that means myself but im sure someone does. If one was to just pop a few pins out and replace them in the proper pin order.. im not saying i cant do that, ive all the tools but no guides/skimatics of pin order. Could it mean that the seasonic has four extra wires ... idk, How do i find this info out. I dont mind modding abit but consitering the price id rather not spend alot of time doing this and just walk away.

The cables literally would not fit into the power supply, and if you forced them in something would likely catch fire or die if you turned it on.

I'm cancelling the order but just wanted to know.

Thanks again for your input and quick reply.
