Never hurts to get it right in your head first... saves time mounting and unmounting if you get it wrong thumb.gif

yep the fan needs to be mounted first on the underside of the bracket.

I am happy with my lapping job even though it doesnt seem to have made any difference. Im happy to assume i have reached the peak performance of my 620 cooler and wont get any better temps no matter what i do with it. Fan choice might be the only thing left to consider smile.gif...I'll try one of my AP15's on it to see how it performs...if its better ill buy another one!

Im glad you guys approve of my lapping job, it looks and feels much better than my last attempt. I just really really lightly sanded it with 2000grit to finish it off. The annoying thing was getting to the end then getting a deep stratch in the surface and having the rub it down again and start over lol Finally got there! thumb.gif

So i tried my AP-15 on the radiator and its dropped the temps by about 3 - 4c which is pretty good going! Its also quicker to cool down my GPU after idling back down

45 under load stock, 59c under load 950mhz core and 60c under load 1000mhz core benching. Gaming it stays around 58c under load!! Looks like i'll be buying another AP-15 wink.gif Its more or less silent and moves a tonne of air!! I need to buy another as i pinched this one off my H100 radiator.

Anyone got any experience with the 3000RPM gentle typhoons? Now im just getting obsessed!!! I just wondered if i could set the 3000RPM one to the fastest it would go before getting loud... it might still be fairly quiet at around 2000RPM. Im using a fan controller anyway.

I've heard those APs get annoying when fan controlled

The 3Ks. Now that I think about it though, I may be thinking about another 3K fan...

Probably thinking of the ultra kaze 3000RPM's getting a fan controller is why i got rid of the fans.

turn them down and the whine and buzz.

I so want in smile.gif

I have two GTX 470's ready to be WC'd, but due to the lack of parts to finish my loop, the small fact they came only with a waterblock, and the sudden proximity of the BOINC Pentathlon/F@H Chimp Challenge, i have decided to use my backup A50 on my CPU, and mod one of my cards to use my H70. Here are the end results biggrin.gif

And the GPU-Z temp shot. This is running BOINC's DistrRTGen project, mind you.
