Which one did you buy? It will be interesting to do the Mod with the short PCB from the reference 670 thumb.gif

i bought a zotac from them direct since i had a 20% off code but there is no telling how long it will take to ship. my MATX case is going to look a lot better with 1 670 rather than 2 470s

I tried so hard to be happy with SLI in an mATX case. I just couldnt deal with it. Too many wires, all the zip ties in the world couldnt save me haha. I moved to a Mid tower Corsair 300R so I could manage the cables better.

So funny story yesterday...lol

I went wakeboarding, my bro's got a 07 X star, its quite nice I must say...
Left around 3:30, FORGOT I left heaven3.0 running on my desktop....whops...LOL Get home at 10pm, still running...lol
Even had my fan controller on the GPU fan set to low, even better. Found out my max temp was 52C!!!!!!!!! Seems that this ceramic paste takes some time to set it, and I think the set temperature is around 52-55C, because before when I reset the cooler, I would max around 55C, then all of a sudden it wouldn't go above 52C, typically stays around 49C when the fan is on high for the radiator.

Though it was funny. Well now I know I'm completely stable at my overclock setting. 1.138V @ 900MHz. I think 6 hours of heaven tells me that its stable...thumb.gif

After using the zip tie method for awhile I decided to switch over to the custom brackets sold by Dwood. I ordered three, two for one rig and one for the another, All GTX 480's w. Antec 620's.

See Pictures Here (Click to show)

Before

450

After Painting Black

450

Zippys

450

During (No IHS used)

700

After

450

Installed

450

Benchies

325

Bottom card is running a few degrees hotter, something that was present prior to installing the brackets.

They were extremely easy to install and would advise anyone considering to do the mod to use them. Temps are about the same as they were before when I was using the zip ties. However it also took me nearly a dozen tries with the zip ties to get it right. The brackets allow you to get it right the first time.

Great job Dwood! thumb.gif

Anyone tried the mod on a GTX 670 yet?? The Asus Direct CU GTX 670 looks so so awsome...beats the GTX 680 and over £110 cheaper. Im soooooo tempted to sell my gtx 580 for one of these badboys! rolleyes.gifredface.gif

A few games recently have actually maxed out my 1.5GB of memory so 2GB might also be beneficial hmmmm

Anyone know if you can remove the sticker on the Antec Kuler 620's radiator, or will that void warranty? It kind of ruins the clean look of my build.
