Oclol, you had me a 670'S

That is a sweat job youve done and way to take some expensive cards and mod them thumb.gif Now some may have gone with one and seen how it went but not you. NO, you did both biggrin.gif

Its like they say.... "Bird cant fly with one wing"

I'm really thinking this is the route I am going to go with my GTX-480's. One question I have though is that if I am going with a Tri-SLI setup with the 480's, would the dwoods method still be able to achieve decent overclocks even with the heat from 3 cards?
Another issue I'm having is where the heck to install 3 120mm rads in a HAF-X case!

You would want to use Dwoods brackets for sure. As far as finding the space for the rads, you will have to be creative. I would retrofit the front of the case to fit all three as intakes. thumb.gif

I tried reading through this whole thing but only made it to page 26 and have skimmed the last ten or so. I noticed one post saying that we could use d-wood's fan bracket with the stock heat plate, is that so?

Has anyone compared pcb/vrm temps with the stock heatplate + stock fan vs d-wood's bracket + stock plate + 92mm fan? I'm going for silent more than overhead. Would the stock fans be enough to handle furmark without getting loud (let's say ~30db, obviously going to be a guess)? Or should I just give in to the extra $44 for my perverse love of noctua fans?

Also, I'm a total noob, so if someone has thoughts on 2x kuhler radiators in an FT-02 and maintaining positive pressure that'd be helpful. I'm worried about how much airflow is being restricted when I put the radiators on top of my ap180s as a push and using a lower cfm fan for pull into the system... Is it still enough to maintain positive pressure?

WOW! It looks good.

But how do you get it to work with the RAD lower than the pump.
I had issues with air in my system getting into the pump, and stopping circulation.
Some reviewers on NewEgg had pump meltdown issues while the PC was unattended.
I would be suspicous of gurgling noises.

One incident:
Moved everything to new case and motherboard is no long rotated 90 degrees.
So CPU's Antec 920 pump hoses now point downward.
Allowing air to get trapped in pump, even though RAD is above pump.
Absolutely no cooling, instant overtemp warnings.
Quick fix, lay PC down and wiggle it around to chase air up to the RAD.
Someday, I'll fix it right by moving the pump around.

Other incidents:
I heard gurgling in the RAD when the hoses were higher than the rest of the RAD.
The Raven RV02 case (90 degree rotated motherboard) was not friendly to mounting the RADS higher then the pump.
I bought a Dragon Rider case on sale, and the RAVEN will ride again someday.

The dragon Rider is a nice case for 3 120 RADS of standard dimension. 2x GPU and 1 CPU.
It lacks top clearance for the placing the extra thick dual fan Antec 920. 1 fan is mounted on top the case.

Hmm.... I've been running 2x 620s with the radiators on the 180s in my FT02 without any noises so far. I did have one pump that was ticking a lot, but I exchanged it and haven't had problems since. Should I be worried? I was planning on getting a mount cut for both of them to sit on top of the 180s, but maybe I'll have to stick them in the 5.25 bays after all...

Sorry, new to water, new to mods, so on
