The temps on my son's 560ti are starting to creep up. Idle is now 41C (previous 25C) and max is 80C (previous mid-60s). The fan filter and rad are clean. I am wondering if the ties are starting to loosen a bit but the whole unit appears to sit snug. Maybe time for a refit? Due to space constraints on the back of the GPU wrt the CPU cooler, I can't use bolts ala Dwood's bracket.

Thanks richie_2010 for the reply in the other thread where I first posted. I'll look into the clearances wrt the cooler and see what can be done. I may need reseat the 620 anyhow.

Wow amazing thread thank you weary interested on doing it myself, especially when i'm getting in Far Cry 3 around 93C on my GF 580 OC 900, Voltage i think Max in Afterburner. but looking at this thread still confused about should i cool my vram?

This is my card: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Palit-GeForce-NVIDIA-Graphics-Surround/dp/B004MMJOCW

So it has 2 fans so as i understand it's not reference design? like if it had 1 fan on right so i could use that to cool vram, but with this i have to take everything off and then apply Liquid cooling method?

Also what is better to use CM or Antec?

I like the Antec but reading that it has noise issues, does it still have them on newer model maybe ?

I found about my card: http://ixbtlabs.com/articles3/video/gf110-10-p1.html im guessing should be the same as what i have.

How long have your zippys been now-Ive been running my zippys for about a year now and starting to suspect that they may be loosening. Not an issue as ive been wanting to redo the paste. Ive kept the zippys on for this long as im testing the theory of zippys backing off. Normal temps for me this far into winter should be 21c startup and 50c or so load gaming. Im now 32c idle and 55c load gaming. gpu rad is blown clean (suspected dirty rad-used compressed air) to remove that as a cause.

Should only take a few moments to run new zippys-Ill post back with results when I get around to it lol - Temps still amazing lol

IMO, you should just get one of Dwood's brackets. They are a lot easier to put on than zip ties and you don't have to reseat it, unless something goes wrong with the thermal paste.

I could, chmod labs also has a great bracket but ... meh, ive done this so many times now using zipstraps.... its what I know and its easy cheap. Once a year, if that is what it is then no problem thumb.gif

Over the course of the year Ive run this card many times at 1.293v/1017-1056core-My TIM is about used up too.

@deadeye i bougt one of those cm clc kits when they were on sale. Its ok but the rad is very thin. I have not had time to set it up as I decided to use the larger rad for my setups.

Well, it's only $13 to get the Dwood bracket shipped to you.; that's probably worth the TIM cost and effort.
