[Official] NVIDIA GPU Mod Club - AKA "The Mod" - Page 299

What ramsinks should I get? There is no stock cooling plate on my card.

My antec 620's haven't come in yet, but after switching to the new case, my temps went from 89 celcius while gaming down to 72 celcius with stock fans on the EVGA 560ti DS SC I have. I'm excited to see what the drop is with the 620 on the gpu and 620 on the cpu smile.gif

In Phoenix AZ room temp is around 25c, so I got 50c-55c. EVGA GTX 560ti 2GB x2 on H20 620s.

I really had to search for it... A large variety can be found here:
http://www.frozencpu.com/cat/l2/g40/c21/list/p1/Air_Cooling-VGA_HeatsinksCoolers.html

I kept the base plate on my 560ti mods, it acts like a heat sink.
Heatsink on the VRMs and VRAMS are recommended by some modders.
A little fan goes a long way, some air movement is needed over these parts.
Heatsinks help catch the wind.

I just finished this mod and I'm running into a bit of issues. The temps are great but I seem to be getting this noise from the pump (H2O Khuler 620). It constantly makes this subtle clicking noise. Its not very loud but it can get very annoying. Ive heard this is somewhat of a common issue but I haven't actually been able to fix it. Ive made it go away temporarily by either lying my computer flat, so that it is vertical with the ground, or run a intensive program which heats up my GPU. For some reason, when I run a benchmark or game, the pump stops making the noise. Also does anyone find the stock fan included with it somewhat loud?
any help would be appreciated.

I remember reading somewhere ages ago that adding multiple fans directly behind each other may damage the bearings... I wouldn't vouch for it though.

The fans used to make my shrouds were old crappy ones anyway, so the housings are put to good use smile.gif

I just recently installed the dwood brackets onto my 560Ti's and i looked into MSI Afterburner and realized my temps were at 90C for the first card and 74C for the second card. This is my first GPU mod ever, did i seat it wrong? I immediately turned off my computer after seeing such high temps. My driver crashed when i booted it up so i had to reinstall drivers... and once i booted up MSI Afterburner and saw the temps i was shocked.

Can someone help me out? im going to reattempt a re-seat or put more thermal paste? I just dont want to waste anymore cause im almost running out... all i can think about doing wrong is probably not seating it correctly?
