Hi - sorry for original length.. Was a bit much. How about this:

Has anyone put an Asetek 760GC on an EVGA GTX460? Successfully?

well pretty sure that after the sausage comment they wont be running forward waving their arms if there are lol

Looks to be a big project Frank. Look forward to the progress on your build. Late here and eyes are fuzzy, will read it again in the morning biggrin.gif

Ignoring the hoses, will the pump/block make the card triple slot? I'd want to do sli with krakens on my Gene-Z.

Don't think so. If you're willing to forego the 92mm fan, then you're golden. Slap on some heatsinks and the VRM's will be fine. (I'm saying this based on my 7970, mind you)

Yeah, I don't want the 92mm thing on the bracket, just the basic one. I can't tell from pics if it is too tall.

Looks a little messy but I was in a rush wink.gif

Uploaded from the Photobucket Android App

Forgot to add temps.

So I am running the Asetek 760GC CPU/GPU cooler found on their website and for sale on ebay, to cool my Core i5-2310 and my MSI GTX 660ti Power Edition O/C.

Idle temps 10-15 minutes after folding stopped on CPU =
Core #1 = 44c
Core #2 = 38c
Core #3 = 40c
Core #4 = 38c

Load temps after 8+ hours of folding on CPU =
Core #1 = 70c
Core #2 = 68c
Core #3 = 66c
Core #4 = 66c

Idle temps 10-15 minutes after folding stopped on GPU = 35c for whatever reason the GPU core and mem didn't downclock they sat steady at 1097 core and 1800 mem. Usually they drop substantially. So idle temps could possibly be a little lower.

Load temps after 8+ hours of folding on GPU = 64c

This is with 2 Scythe Slipstream PWM fans running push/pull @ 100% for folding. When gaming the fan profile is limited to 70% which is nice and quiet, and keeps temps lower than the folding temps.

Overall I would highly recommend the Asetek to anyone looking to cool a moderate cpu/gpu combo, in a nice neat and relatively small package.

You can keep the fan, if you can find a 15mm thick one. Other than that, it will all work fine in SLI.

...

Thats excellent, Scott!

If I ever build another small case machine (done 2 SG05's already) I think I will use this to do the cooling. Ideal for ITX boards and IB or Haswell CPU's that run well under 80W and sub 200W 6" GPU's like the GTX670.
