Hard to tell if its over tightened. The top pic... perhaps it looks warped. I would be more inclined to think it was a paste issue. Your idles are on the high side by about 10c but loads temps spiking is a really good indication that the paste did not spread as it should. You will need to take it apart again and redo the TIM to be sure. I have had this exact issue several times and each time it was always the paste.

Like angle said, do check that you don't have it too tight as it can cause this issue also but I don't think that this is a warping issue myself. Either way, taking it apart is the first step once you know that the pump is plugged in and running at proper speeds and the fans are working as they should.

Very nice clean build. thumb.gif

I like that you kept the base plate on it for a heat sink. With no fan on it, my base plate temps kept climbing past 60c. it doesn't take much of a fan, a side panel fan could do.

I have a side panel fan directly over the card at the VRMs biggrin.gif

I ended up getting one of the swiftech HS plates for the 560ti, after a few cuts it fits perfectly: http://www.swiftech.com/gtx560-ti-hs.aspx
I got that idea from someone earlier along in the thread, though I am not sure who it was.

Just reapplied TIM and I am seeing the same temps; made sure to finger tighten the nuts. I will tear it down again in a few hours and reevaluate everything. thumb.gif

Does the GPU sit above the plate?
My GTX670 sits in a well and needs a copper shim.

The pump can be concave, if so the you have a gap and need to lapp the pump. When its apart next examine the pump surface and see if its completely flat.

Just double check with a straightedge with no block on the GPU - see if it's caused by something else. Is very pronounced.

Sup guys, currently which one is the cheapest closed loop cooler to do "The Mod" on my GTX670 ? I was looking for something around $60.
ps.: i'll get it at ebay because newegg doesn't ship to the jungle i live in, along with my giant man-eating snakes and flying monkeys.
If your getting it from ebay then you will have to look for them, look at the antec 620 or the h60
