I did the MOD to support folding. Things were OK at first, but then I got hit with new Work Units that really taxed my GPUs. They were running hotter than Furmark. The recent work units have been quite tame. My GTX670 is simply set for 145% power, folding hasn't pushed it much above 100% lately. I never did extreme OC as I rather not put errors into the folding. I'm not sure how it error checks.

Anybody do The Mod on two card SLI in a Corsair 600T case?

I'm picking up a second GTX 670 this week and can't really think of any place to put the radiator/fan (as, specifically, an *exhaust* set up) other than on the door of the case; this would work I think but might be a bit cumbersome as to completely remove the door, I would have to either remove the radiator/fan or simply unplug the card.

I'm currently using The Mod on a single GTX 670 with the fan exhausting out the back of the case; the top of the case is occupied by an H100 so no luck there.

...

The cards I'm going to be running SLI are Galaxy GTX 670 4GB's and they don't exhaust the heat out the back like the reference cards do; although, they do run very silent and very cool.

But my main reason for doing the mod is to get all the heat out of my case so that my motherboard doesn't roast during long game sessions and so if nothing else, I'll run at least one card with The Mod and leave the other stock.

Anyway... and SLI users of the Mod with a 600T?

Thanks..

Would "FAN <- CHASSI <- RAD <- FAN <- RAD" generate too much heat on the second rad? redface.gif

I do that to test my card as well.

I think so ... and plus my h100 is push > pull and so I have no room behind the existing setup to put the other radiator ...

If I stay with the mod, I'll most likley just mount it to the door or figure out a way to mount it to the drive cage blowing towards the front (then switch the front 200mm fan to an exhaust ...

The cards run so quite and cool anyway that running them both stock (or even just one) wouldn't really be too bad.

Thanks for the tip yo!

ive done the mod w/ SLI in a 600t case. here is the link to my post w/ pictures and stuff: http://www.overclock.net/t/1203528/official-nvidia-gpu-mod-club-aka-the-mod/2690#post_18875889

to accommodate the 2 rads i cut out the front fan grill so that i could mount 2x 120mm fans. the tubing on the kuhler 620s wasnt long enough to reach, so i had to gut some extra crappy fans i had to make wind tunnels. its been running perfect for about 2 months now, couldnt be happier

That my friend is absolutely EPIC.

I have three full size drives installed and so that wouldn't work for me as the drive cage is in the way but still. Fantastic solution.

I think I'm going to run the cards stock until I get a larger case; easy solution for now. Will either pick up a second Antec cooler for the mod or do a proper water cool custom loop for both CPU and both cards once I get the case.

Thanks again...

If I remember my 600t you could move the HDD rack to the bottom of the chassis next to the PSU. I can't really tell from Maverick's pictures but it seems like there's still space to move them there if you wanted.

I really wanted to love that case but my SLI heat made me return it frown.gif
