@frankSilvaHM great post! ( sounds like a echo in here.. )
ever since someone posted the link i have been amazed at the prices of that kit.

You just proved to me what cravinmild has said all along. ( yea i should have listened) quad core opterons and 460's??? wow.
( btw thanks cravinmild for really kickstarting this mod)
you cant beat the price vs performance of that kit. ( if you can make it fit. )
I have also been very satisfied with the performance of the sp120 quiet edition in push mode, I actually switched out ap120s for pull fans a while back. for me silence is golden.. well not really silent but so much better than before.

Thanks for the great post. And for me the beauty is in the performance of the mod.
And thanks to everyone who takes the time to share their experiences and help with the mod.

What he said for sure. Post them pics!

*update*
So I made a few adjustments tonight. First, I put a second 120mm push fan on the radiator. I also replaced my zip ties with bolts. These two changes, and perhaps the paste curing 24 hours, has dropped my idle temp 32*, and in game they're 45* or less. Additionally, I've pushed my voltage to +75 and 875MHz core. Now running BF3 on all high settings capped to 70 frames, no blur or AA, AF to 8x.

I had mentioned that running Heaven would force my OC back to stock, and it still does for what ever reason. All I have to do is simply apply the profile again after I start the program and it runs just fine. Perhaps I'll try re-installing the driver as suggested. I'm going to run at these setting for a week or two and might do a tear down to clean up sloppy wires. I'll probably get some better paste and lap the HS as well. We'll see. Not going for any records here. Just wanna play BF3, All day; Every day!

Does anybody know of a full size case that could be called almost *perfect* for The Mod in a SLI configuration?

I wanting to get a second Antec for my new (2nd) GTX 670 and having looked at it, I really could cram it in (in some context) to my 600T case but it would be abysmally crowded in there and the overall case air flow would be not to my liking ...

If I had two Antecs cooling my cards I would want both radiators exhausting outside of the case for sure ... and with the 600T, it's just not possible ...

Ideally, I'd want a case that had space for an H100 and two Antecs ... the H100 would be intake (at top preferrably) and the two 620's would be exhausting.

My new card is driving me nuts cause it's stock and idles at 40C and loads (furmark) around 68 - 70C ... whereas my card with The Mod idles at 30C and loads at 50C or so ... drives me nuts seeing the temp difference.

And since I'm totally not wanting to do a big expensive multi block custom water cooling set up ... a 2nd modded Antec is the most attractive option ...

LOL ...

Any cases come to mind?

Thanks.

One case comes to mind: my next case (unless something better comes out)... the CoolerMaster Cosmos II... check it out if you do not know about it.. but if on a budget, a Corsair 650D or 800D should do you proud.

I heard dwood was starting case builds, perhaps custom. 800d I hear has limited intakes, cosmos 11 looks nice but idk. Nice if a case came to market which Wes tailer to address the mods mounting issues. It's getting popular now so maybe....

My main requirement is top mounted 240mm rad (H100 but eventually a Swiftech H220) ... and two easily reached 120mm exhaust spots for dual Antec 620's cooling my SLI GTX 670's ... I don't want to mod anything (other than cutting out the fan mesh for better air flow).

Thanks for the case suggestions, I'll look in to them.

Take a good look at the NZXT Switch 810. I wish I had bought that one. I bought a Dragon Rider instead, it was on sale and had many side panel fan capabilities.
"Supports high-end water cooling solutions up to three fans for push and pull configuration: 90mm of internal top space with top 360/420mm and bottom 140/240mm radiator support for unmatched liquid cooling"
http://www.nzxt.com/new/products/crafted_series/switch_810

My Dragon rider would not fit two fans push/pull with a double thick H20 920 rad. The 810 has more RAD clearance under the top, and can fit a triple length rad up there.
The CPUs H20 920 had to be put on the Dragon Riders top, but one of the fans had to be mounted externally (ugly). I doubt the 810 would have had an issue here.
I put one GPUs H20 620 on the rear exhaust, and the other GPUs H20 620 under the top. The hoses were just long enough for it.
The 810s has extra clearance up top and the H20 620hoses might not be long enough without some help. A pull fan or gutted fan could aid mounting.
The newer 810s should have the mounting holes spaced for Kraken's 140mm fans. I wonder ... two Kraken x40's for GPU and and one Kraken x60 for CPU?

This case has a thread here: http://www.overclock.net/t/1209048/official-nzxt-switch-810-thread#post_16353337

Wow, almost a big mishap this morning.... I've got my MITX case with 1 SP120 fan with 2 CWC's in my case... I also have the fans on a fan controller to lower the RPM of the fans.... I was playing WoT this morning and for some reason WoT will load my GPU like 80-90%....tabbed out of a match, GPU was at 74C!!!!!!!! drool.gifdrool.gifdrool.gifdrool.gif I flipped the fan controller right all the way up for my rad fan...wheew. Back down to 50C.... I guess 40% on the SP120 fan just isn't enough air for a 60mm thick 2 rads... I'm usually max out no more than 55C on the GPU under any circumstances when I have the fans turned up...thankful I didn't play a higher demanding game, that definitely would have reached 80C+
