It would be better if the tubes are at the bottom to avoid air bubbles from getting into the loop.

ALRIGHTY so im back with some more results. today i went and got some more rubbing alc and some q tips, gave the gpu and the surface of my 620 a good cleaning. Next i put a small dab of tim on (arctic silver 5) used a small clean plastic lid dealy to spread out the tim much like the video posted earlier. i re seated the cooler and tightend the screws but not too tight just snug. also i changed out the stock antec fan and replaced it with one of my h100s old fans, its a bit noisy but much bettter pressure and speeds on my fan controller.

with no overclock i idle at 25* and on kombuster hit 53/54*

with my core clock at +20 and mem clock at +450 im idling at 25* and with kombuster on for 5 minutes now, 54/55*

im thinking it was a success? i mean looking at the cooler surface it was totally unlapped and had a few scratches on it. once i end up taking on the lapping project do you guys think i should see better results?

i must say everyone on here has been super cool in helping me out and dwood is doing some GREAT things for all of us yay. so my GTX 680 SOC is water cooled now and super slick. all i need is a new white led 92MM fan, and a few new rad fans and i think it will be perfect. by the way who got those new nvidia drivers? they sucked a fat one and caused me all kinds of problems i went back to 310.90
and sorry about the pics everyone im not very savy on forums but as usual any tips are always appreciated id love to show of my rigs progress now. i have some pics in my profile.

It sound like good news. Lapping is the one thing I can't decide on doing. With my temp staying under 50* at load I don't know if I need it, but in the back of my mind having a mirror finish on there just sounds so appealing.

I just ordered a 2nd block for my CPU along with some Enzotech 14mm cooper sinks. Gonna glue the to my heat spreader right over the vrams. Should look pretty cool!

dooooo iiitttt! the antec 620 cooler plate is terribly concave and really really does need lapped. you'll get a good 5c drop if u lapp it properly. my old old asus 560 non-ti when without the ihs and direct die antec 620 cooling lapped, it wouldnt even go over 42C in furmark or anything. gaming in bf3 would max at 37C itw was awesome!

thats amazing, yeah i noticed with my card when i removed the stock cooler, my chip and transistors is exposed!, i guess galaxy delids it and throws on that jet engine to get the stock "soc" they get. but they had a ton of TIM all over it and it was so thick. i was shocked to see that their was no IHS though, but cool because it saves me from screwing it up! yeah ill buy some sandpaper and next week ill lap my antec. do u think i should do it to my h100 as well?
