Love the white PCB! thumb.gif

After doing the 470 in my P180 mini, I did the 580's in my Lian Li. Instead of pink zip ties, this time I used 2 of Dwood's brackets. The temp decreases were insane. From 99C after 15 minutes of Furmark to 54C.

i like how you kept the drive bays yet kept it clean.. glad to see things working out..
with a good seat the zip ties work good but im a big fan of the brackets as they are a great simple solution to what can be a complex problem.. that is with the mod.. do you have good air flow thru the drive bays? you must with 54c in futuremark.
repped.

(snip) edited comment to condense..)
does anyone know where i could get a custom lid made for my 500R? maybe somthin a lil custom to cover my fans?

anyways let me in the club![/quote]

@deadpool420 i would contact dwood here in the forums.. he has a web site possibly someone can post the correct link as it escapes me..

is that the haf 922 ? i have 2 haf 22's and one 932 advanced..
on the 922 i lifted that plastic piece and cut a opening to put my pump inside the case and put my thermaltake water 2.0 extreme on the top ..
so your case looks similar.. I like it obviously. ;>
when im taking photos with a cell phone camera sometimes i throw a bit of light on it..but not too much as it can cause a glare..
repped.

Airflow is ok. The drive bays actually seem pretty restrictive. I've got another set of fans coming for push/pull and we'll see how that affects temps. I could also probably remove the metal part that covers the middle of each fan, since I'm not going to be putting any hard drives there. That would probably help airflow a bit.

I've got a 2nd AIO cooler coming this week that's going on my CPU, but I'm not going to have room unless I remove something. I'm going to cut out what I don't need, two optical drive bays and two floopy bays. Just gonna dremel them right out of the case. I've also got a couple other things in mind that will help with cable management. I don't have a lot of space behind the mobo so I'm going to widen my case. You'll see when I'm done; I'll post some pics.

H100 fans blow out, away from card. 2 center fans blow on VRM/Mem heatsinks.

Shame - I was hoping to lay claim to the first "The Mod"ed egpu. At the weekend I attached a H40 to my GTX 560ti 448. Not quite such a ghetto build as I've installed the GPU and cooler into a CoolerMaster Elite 120 chassis. It's not ideal for temps, but it was immediately 80+C Furmark to 60C and a significant drop in noise (I'm using a Scythe Gentle Typhoon on the radiator). I've kept the original CPU cooling plate and fan, but fixed the fan at 40%.
I've since overclocked the GPU but it can't do more than 850MHz OCCT stable at 1.05v (and that's back up to 80C) :-(

Next up is to get the Dremel out and take chunks out of the unsed drive bay to improve air flow.

Pics to follow...
