@cravin...i read that threads a few times...your truly the the iceberg to the titanic..legend...is the only way to describe it....
if i may...will acrylic/perspex melt if i made a backplate from it and mounted it on my gpu with spacers..

Thank you blushsmiley.gif

Acrylic will not melt from the gpu heat alone, you would also need more heat than that. Acrylic can expand though, crack and chip easy.

ok thanks...nice to see a fellow family guy and enthusiast..man i wish i had your temperatures here..we had three weeks of rain and amzing weather now its back to 35+ each day the hole day.my little ac just managed to keep the room at 25 today..if i turn it on reaaly early moring it works great..but any later than 8 o clock and its tickets..
ok so what would you suggest i do..this friend/client i help out lat week has a ton of acrylic/perspex (hes got his own printing business..man you should see this huys workshop..the printer alone is bigger than my room..he does signs aswell and designs)

he gifted me a whole 1.2 by 1.2 by5mm thick sheet of cherry red ..omg i love my red..we first were going to mod his cm stacker(yup brand new silver stacker 830) sidepanels with it..then after i cleaned and made his rig look like a ferrari..he told me i can have the sheet and he"ll even cut it any way i want..even without he need for a jigsaw..hes got a neet trick..uses a glass cutter ..believe me it works..no cracks..not a single mark on it..now my plans are:
1)mod top panel of case (maybe still deciding)
2) definitely make a shroud for gpu and backplate if possable
3)ive got a small mesh grill on the side panel of my case which actualu just lets the front intake air escape..now im removing the hd cage also so im goi9n to use some redness and close that grill up so only the outer edges are open...thumb.gifthumb.gifwink.gif

I can say that acrylic beyond a single straight cut can become quite difficult to work with. The more "show" the more advanced your techniques need to become. I found this out very quickly and have a new appreciation for modders who can use this material and turn it into art. Every corner, every cut, every hole takes time and when its done you have several hours to clean the edges up with sanding and tourching. Whatever your time line was.... double it lol.

Ive got hours and hours of youtube time for acrylic work prior to starting my project and since that have spent countless hours youtubing solutions and methods. Not trying to discourage you, im just saying wink.gif

well its mostly straight cuts..
top panel is straight...only one front triangular cut so itll fit snugg against front part..
side grill is like a rectangular shape with two 45° angles on top and bottom side.
for the top vents i would like to try make scars/monster claw marks for a scary look.ive got three dragon vinyl red/chrome picturs i can also use for some bling.im just yearning for learning.plus i want my case to stand out..from the crowd.

Someone could give me tips about applying this mod to my Asus GTX 680 reference cooling?

I wanna do but I have not much knowledge about it. I thought using a Corsair H60 to cool 2013 edition, if I remove the black metal plate to place the block will need to use for VRAM heatsink and RAMS?

I do not want to cut that board because I think at some point and that would lower resale value much.

Any help? confused.gif

Thanks. smile.gif

You don't have to remove the plate, you can just use a shim.

Is a H100i overkill? I won't do much overclocking on my 780ti.

PS. Temps around here range from 24 to 31°C

No such thing as overkill smile.gif
