[Official] NVIDIA GPU Mod Club - AKA "The Mod" - Page 562

I'll get 1 h100i and 1x120mm (h60, h55, etc). One for CPU and one for the mod. CPU is using the stock Intel cooler. Which one should I put on the CPU and which one I should put on the GPU?
Generally the GPU generates more heat(and in a smaller area as well), but if you plan to overclock that cpu, the H100i may be better for it.

I just have a cheap LQ310 by Zalman and the cooling is still WAY better than stock(and fan speeds that seem to be maxing at 1200-1300, it is much more quiet than the stock cooler too).

You will see lots of users around here who have similar cards to you to get an idea of what they have done. Most users use the round Asetek pumps because they are more easy to setup(but at least in my case not nearly as quiet as the H80i pump I have on my cpu).

Check out the photo gallery for this thread, it should give you some ideas.

I've got 2 H60 pumps with 2 rs240 rads on my GPU and CPU. Same fans and paste. The GPU maxes at 40c and CPU maxes at 58c.. Big difference with the IHS on the CPU vs direct die on the gtx670.
No 40c max isn't overkill. Never will be in my book. Half the time it idles around 18-20c.... That's not overkill...

hey cakewalk.im still in the process of getting those two kits. Customs messed up big time this time..parcel is being detained due to it being labelled as car parts by them..dunno why..but i already stated that if any parts are missing im goin to make them replace it.

would it be safe to run an kuhler920 pump in tandem with a h70 pump?my plan is to have the 920 on the gpu and h70 on the cpu..but o reservoir..ill makeshift a temporary res from a 2l soda bottle to fill it up or is it better to submerge the rads and inlets from tun=bing to suck up the fluids..plus is de_mineralised water same as destilled..its the closest thing i can find in my town localy..they sell it at my garage for usage as car battery water:p

Car battery water(as it should be distilled anyway or I think it is) should work, but you may need some glycol(antifreeze) because you have mixed metals(unless you are also getting new rads. EDIT, yeah I think i misread.).

I WANT to see this mod.

I thought about making my H80i pump do the work for all, but with lower voltage and recently rotating the all in one pump so the hoses come out the bottom(one side was more quiet the other and top was MUCH more loud.) and not the side it has become much better.

A user on this forum who did a mod with these types of coolers used a microres
http://www.landmarkpc.co.za/store/swiftech-mcres-micro-rev2-resevoir-p-8842.html

I have not done any water cooling(maybe in the near future.) so can not comment on the other parts.

I had mentioned earlier that I turned my all in one on the video card(to make it a bit more quiet). It actually fits better now too. I also have the stock fan back on the zalman cooler because it is PWM(let the video card deal with it).

EDIT, Mods if this image is too big let me know and I will get rid of it.

ive seen a few..well i got to get these kits first..still detained at customs..i sware there are idiots like me..then theres idiots at customs (worse) thanx for feedback..is there any whos made a new type of bracket yet for this mod..apart from the g10..and the others?
ive got an idea.but no way to implment..mm..maybe i should try make a template from paper..then wood.then something sturdier...
What idea is it.
Try card its sturdier to use tjan paper for testing. Shoot me a pm if you want
post #5620 of 8626
the idea is to have one middle bar over the top centered..like yours.then two arms..1 at each end of pump..on the sides with two bars attach .that slide in underneath the unit with multiple screw holes..u insert the screws bbfor hand..slide/place bracket
over align with holes and bolt down from bacside of gpu with springloaded nuts and rubber washers..does it make sense..i can try draw up a sketch..
