The couple reviews I saw basically made it out to be a slightly upgraded h60 but quieter. I'd have just got the 60 and added a fan if needed, but I guess the rad was slightly bigger and a better/quieter pump. Hopefully that's accurate... Lol. Fans run lower RPM, I guess, too.

I have a buddy that can mill me a mounting bracket, if needed. Hopefully not, but... I'll probably mount it right to the GPU die, I'm assuming ill need something... We'll see. I've never even looked at my board without the heat sink on. (Gigabyte GTX560ti SOC 1Ghz)

if you can get a bracket milled then that should prove to be quite usefull. Otherwise I find that a cheap bracket is those 4 screw hole backplates that often come stock on many GPUs, like the one in silver on this one:

As for the H75... The pump is a more modern version of the Asetek pump used on the H50/H55 and it operates a bit more quiet then the older ones. The radiator is just a standard 30mm thick aluminium radiator, so it's not going to perform any miracles in that department compared to the other ones either. The reason it perform better is due to one thing; It comes with two fans from the factory. This gives you a push/pull setup and thus increases perfomrance, you would get very similar results by using two fans on the H50 as well.

This is one of the reasons why there is so little difference between the different CLC units, they all use the same pumps and radiators and they end up performing more or less the same. The major difference between them all is the set of fans that come shipped with them, which with the H75 is the Corsair SP120L fans (which btw are noisy as hell above 1000rpm in my experience). The SP 120L fans do perform quite well though and are among the better fans that come with CLC units, although I tend to prefer the Cooler Master Silencio FP fans instead and usually recommend CLC units that come with them.

Played one map of Black Ops 2 with the stock cooler and reached 70C. The fan doesn't even kick on til 60C, so... lol. Added the H75 and another map of Black Ops 2, max was 40C! Idles at 20C. Granted, that was with fans at max running off the PSU. I need to change that...

Didn't even know people still played BO or BO2. I got MW2 for free awhile ago...went on to do some old school multiplayer...no servers. Lame

I usually play CoD games until servers die. I actually only own CoD4, BO & BO2. BO2 still has decent server population. May get BO3, I dunno. I'm sure its release will kill BO2 off, for good.

gpu idles at 20...max temp 38...will take screen shot when i can agian...maybe if i remove it..an just clean out the fans...rads...and replace the fans,,,itll be even better....biggrin.gif

Well, after 2 years of a great experience with "The Mod" http://www.overclock.net/t/1203528/official-nvidia-gpu-mod-club-aka-the-mod/4000_100#post_19949635 I am having trouble. I have a Asetek 760GC cooling my 2500K and a 670GTX and a Asetek 740GF cooling another 670GTX but my PC has been rebooting after a while and I discovered that my GPU cooled by the 740GF is no being cooled at all, getting to 80 degres in idle mode. The cooler seems to have died, did any of you experience something like that that can give me some ideas how to check properly?
I will check it better tomorrow but I believe I will have to remove it and install the air cooler that came with my 670GTX. Is it easy? I glued those recommended heatsinks to the ram, how do I take them off if I need to?

Cheers

May be better to get another all in one.

The VRM heatsinks may be very hard to remove. Worse case they damage the transistors when removed.

You may be able to take out the card and power its pump from another computer(or that computer if you have onboard video) or and external power supply. Most times you can here if the pump is running or not.

Thanks, I'm gonna try and hear the pump, connecting it directly to the PSU. Isn't there any kind of chemical I can use to remove the glue? In case I have to order another closed wc unit, which one do you guys recommend, since this one has been discontinued?

Cheers

Really first time I've heard of this happening with the mod group here. I've heard some horror stories of them dying for a cpu but that's it. Bummer. I've had 4 aio coolers and they're all still kickin.
