Lol, I know exactly how you feel. My last GPU was a 4GB EVGA GTX 770 SC ACX 2.0, and there were no LEDs, amazingly. Before that I had an AMD HD 6950, no LEDs. (plenty more before that but I don't think they were putting LEDs on anything midranged that long ago) So when I bought my Gigabyte G1 GTX 970, I was really psyched to finally have the LEDs. It sucked so hard pulling the cooler off, I have seen people that have modded their Kraken G10 by having a word cut out in it somehow, and placing LEDs behind it, which would be so cool, but I don't have tools for that and I don't even know who would do that locally so I've all but given up on having LEDs on my GPU.... frown.gif

They were really cool for a week or so before I installed my Kraken. The "breathing" setting was sweet.

I'm about to reconnect my h75 to my replacement TX and I noticed it has a lot of faint concentric rings on the underside of the waterblock. Would lapping be recommended?

I'm sure it couldn't hurt, but can you feel them with your finger? Are you sure it's not just dried paste or something? I've never seen concentric circles before, my H40 looks like brushed aluminum. (Straight lines)

my pumps have never had swirls, straight lines only. I lap when the grooves are enough to file your nails on wink.gif

It's completely cleaned, so no gunk, and, yup, I can feel them. It looks brushed, but with visible rings. Very strange.

Does anyone know where one might acquire the VRM heatsink that comes on an Asus GTX 970 Strix?
Shown Here:

The VRMs are placed in the exact same spot as on my G1 GTX 970, and I think that heatsink would work amazingly with my Kraken G10. I've looked everywhere I can think of, I cannot find it for sale...

Anybody got an idea of how I could get heatsinks under the blower fan for my reference 980? I was thinking of sanding off some of the blower length or would that weaken the blower too much?

Also, is there anyway I could get a custom metal faceplate?
