I looked back, and maybe I am not understanding how it looks or something, Do you have any pictures? I didn't see pictures when looking at your post history because my fan sits directly over the die with the RAM all around it.

Oh.. I have the reference design from amd. You're gunna want some sort of fan to cool the vrm's. They get pretty hot.

Really? They are sitting at 24C full load, and they don't curren't have a fan on them, just 4 cougars blowing on the card from the side

Can someone help out a noob? I bought some silver thermal adhesive and copper heatsinks. I also have some spare heatsinks i can cut down with a hacksaw if i need more, I went with thermal adhesive instead of pads. Do people use pads just on there own instead of heatsinks or? Can some please outline or draw an edit of this picture for everything I should be covering with heatsinks and give me any tips on what to look for? Attached is a pic of my card with cooler removed. I have a Corsair H60 on order, and dont know where to get a bracket now that dwood is MIA.

Do you have any of these pads with HS as an example? Just so we can see what for sure you are talking about?

I dont have any pics to link as im on my phonr but you can buy thermal pads or tape from most comp places. Put a peice on your vrm or ram and then the heatsink ontop. Thermal paste wont hold sinks on vrms or ram

Some cards come with metal plate with cooling pads between plate and VRMs. You stick heatsinks on top of metal plate (they stick much better than to VRMs directly) for better heat dissipation. Typically metal plate is cooled by stock cooler fan.
