[Official] AMD/ATI GPU Mod Club - AKA "The Red Mod" - Page 30

Reduces the noise by about 1000% tongue.gif. All the fans in my computer. 8 120mm 2 140mm (Aerocool sharks) 2 80x15mm and 1 140mm (PSU) are quieter then the Stock HSF at 50%, and I'm still gonna add in 2 more 120mm and I bet you it would still be quieter.. You can literally hear the fan if I turn it up from nothing 20% to 50% it will kick in louder then all the other fans in my case, just barely but its still something. Considering my h60 let alone my h80 got better temps then the stock HSF at 100% id say its worth it.

The mod was always about silence and lower temps. The oc is a bonus. It beats any stock cooling solution out there for any vender or model.

H70 is worse then the 620.
It has smaller less flexible piping and a slower pump.

So if your buying new then get a 620 which is best bang for buck. Or if you need better a 920 or a H80 or just a h100 for over kill.
But if you have a H70 already might as well use it.
If i was to do it from scratch i would have used the 620. I had the H70 laying around anyways, free mod at that point

For those interested ive posted a review of The Mod in the review section. Nothing special but if your willing perhaps a nod in The Mods direction for those on the fence. Pics speak a thousand words too wink.gif

I used the 620. It's cooler with it and so I'm able to run the 120 fans at a much lower speed vs the tiny, high-rpm fan on the stock cooler.

ordered a new 620 from currys and got it yesterday installed the new one this morning and returned the old one, working like a champ and is now quiter.
temps are still idle at 32-34 with push pull aksas apache fans (were cheaper than noctuas)
