Just wondering if there's a spreadsheet of temps so I can compare the temps on my 5770.

Right now it's idle on 45*C and max load is 56*C, ambient temps are 33*C to 35*C.

Just seated once right now will report back once I get a re-seat.

Specs: Antec 620 + MX4 TIM + 2x GT-AP15's

Hey, I found this on google when i was looking for something that could help me with my HD6950's temps. This looks really nice and I'm interested in doing this aswell wich made me make an account for the forums. biggrin.gif

My question is, will this fit on Crossfire XFX HD6950's 1gb model in a Bitfenix Shinobu ? I'm thinking of removing the harddrive case and then there should be enough space for 2 rads there to fit side ways. Probably would mod the harddrive case, make it fit 3 harddrives and place it right infront of my PSU. Would look very nice i think..

Right now I'm getting up to 69 degrees on my first gpu and 64 on my second on idle..

Edit: Just checked on Furmark, temps get up to 91 degrees ..

Edit 2: Okay, just reinstalled drivers and profiles, idle temps are now 66 and 49..

Few questions with this mod smile.gif think i'll do this to a xfx 7770

Will pronbably use an Antec kuler, do i need to remove the pre-applied themal paste and use my own or will that be fine?
I was going to use a Dwood custom bracket, with fan mount. I would want to orient the fan to blow onto the graphics card correct?
third kinda off topic. I've been told xfx warranty supports a modification like this, does anyone know if this is true?

I'm not ignoring your question. I just don't know the answer because of lack of experience with that case. But I'm sure someone will come along and answer. Might could check in the Kuhler or Corsair Hydro club threads and see if anyone owns the case + cooler there as well.

IMO the paste is pretty decent for CPU's but there's too much for GPU's. The GPU die is much smaller if I remember right...

And XFX warranty is fine if you're in North America. Just don't do any physical mods on their coolers or the PCB board in the process. Just remove the cooler, and slap new one on.

They do recommend you call them to let them know you're doing but it's not mandatory to do so.

looking at the case on google images if you remove the hdd rack it should fit in there you may have to move the graphics card down a slot, or you could put the h80 for your cpu up top and the rad for the 6950 in the back and another at the front.

I cant move my graphic cards. I got a Sabertooth Z77 motherboard, so that option isn't there.

I'll look for the sizes of diffrent rads tomorrow and see wich will fit the way I was thinking about.
Also thinking to mod the stock casing of my GPU's so I can keep those on there with the watercooling underneath, that will look very nice.

Did the mod tonight on an Asus 6970. Temps averaging in the 30's while internet browsing, etc... But occasionally my GPU temp #2 spikes into the 50's and a few seconds later settles back down to the 30's. Can anyone tell me what GPU temp #2 correlates to? Is it the RAM or part of the chip?
