@Gorki what kind of water cooling do you have for that i7? Is it a traditional water cooling setup with a pump and resivoir or a closed loop cooler?
Btw that looks like a nice fan setup. But it depends on how sensitive you are to sound. Im assuming there will be a heat increase in your case with that system.
If its a open system and you dont want to go full water block Swiftech has a hybrid solution,
without further reading It looks like the 7900 series waterblock would be the correct one.
here is the heatsink page for the 7900 series there are two options, one for the 7950 and one for the 7990.
There is a chart at the bottom of the page to see if it will fit your particular card. Most heatsinks have a place for a fan.
some cards have effective vrm and memory cooling after removing the heatpipes. It really depends on the card and your personal preference.
Otherwise You could go with one clc for the video card and do the mod. If you have room you could put in 2 like bmgjet did. But You would need a copper shim to use the mod. I for each cooler.
Im working on a new possible option where i added a gpu block to a clc but its a new idea and not fully tested.
On the same lines there was a Asetek deal on ebay that sported a pump/cpu block and a 2nd waterblock that some are attempting to cool 2 gpus using the MOD
but again this is not a proven solution yet because we havent even seen the hardware. if still available it was 69.99 Im thinking its a closeout. Out of the box it looks like you could zip tie the units to both gpus or get brackets made from artisans in the group but again this is NOT a tested solution yet. if interested search ebay for asetek and look for the unit with the 49mm radiator and a pump/cpu block and a gpu block.
Im guessing this is the type of info you were looking for...
Guess what showed up in the mail today? My Chmodlab mounts!
Ill put up a few photos after i get one of them installed on my rig.
