Im getting AM2 fx-62
ASUS M2N32

.. but i know jack about memory..

240-pin DDR800 PC6400

I like OCZ and Corsair XMS2.. but i dont know any memory stats except latency.. is 4-5-4-12 worse than 4-4-4-12? I dont know guys.. help me out picking out some RAM... ive always been a 4x512 fan rather than 2x1gb.. does it matter? Or are gig sticks more powerful? i dont know hook me up with some info..

To answer your questions:

Q: Is 4-5-4-12 worse then 4-4-4-12?
A: The first number in the string is the most important. This is the Latency value. The lower the better. The problem is that it is very hard to do at higher clock speeds. The fastest RAM available today would be:

Q: 4 sticks versus 2?
A: If you run 4 sticks in an AMD board you will have to run a command rate of 2T. If you run 2 sticks you will be able to run a command rate of 1T. In general you will loose about 5-10% performance with 4 sticks. I would stick with 2.

Does it matter which side i run the two sticks and/or is it designated per board?

To run in Dual Channel you will have one stick on each side typically.
