Truth is, I don't know if there is a difference at all. I'd like to believe that Mushkin had a special binning process if they bothered to put them in a special case an slap "#1/1" on there. The G.Skill ECO line certainly has a good reputation for overclocking and I imagine this set would do similarly. I'm about a week away from having a computer up and running so I may spend an hour or two seeing how far I can get. I will, of course, post the results for those interested.
I imagine there are only two groups of people who would be interested in such sticks:
1. Those who are 'wooed' by the novelty and (possible) rarity of the kit
2. Those who are truly enthusiasts in the overclocking realm and hope (as I do) that these are something special
Hard to say either way, I suppose.
