Watercooling for my first time - Page 4

And now, my edited version of your list:

PrimoChill PrimoFlex PRO LRT Tubing - White 1/2" ID x 12' (if you need that much?)
Monsoon Free Center Compression Fitting - 1/2"ID x 3/4"OD - Modders 6 Pack Matte Black x1
Monsoon Free Center Compression Fitting - 1/2"ID x 3/4"OD - Single Matte Black x4 - obviously, pick whatever color fitting you prefer here, but 10x total, get 1 6-pack and 4x singles

Pick up a gallon of distilled water at the grocery store or walmart, and go with the radiator, pump, reservoir, and gpu block that I mentioned looked fine. The tubing is fairly flexible, you should be fine without any angle fittings unless you're doing something odd with positioning.

And thanx, I will rather use distilled water then, and I am looking for white tubing. But the good kind.
And what a bout the pump top thingy?

Sast- Thanx! I don't know about the 45degree fitting, I just added them all so you guys can remove what I don't need, or reconstruct completely. It's clear that I have very little knowledge of this hehe.

Don't worry I was in the same boat when I started.

You'll only need the 45 degree fittings if you have something in an area that will kink the tube. I can't say for certain cause I dont know your layout but I'd say you don't need them.

1. If you have the room go for RX or SR1 series radiator.
2. For the same price as your reservoir you can get a reservoir that will hold your pump to save room.
3. XSPC 1650 fans are just as good as Gentle Typhoon AP-15 and are already sleeved and half the price.
4. Go for EK or Koolance for the gpu block. If you go with EK you can get matching backplate.
5. Get Primochill LRT tubing much cheaper and awesome tubing with incredible bending ability.
6. Ditch the coolant and just get a silver coil or pt nuke and go to your local grocery or pharmacy and get distilled water.

1.Hey,thank you for your addvice. The r1 will fit acording to pics on google and rewies, but I was woried about kinking the tubes and stuff.
2. That sounds fancy, can you add link with one thats good and performs well?
3. I can only get typhoons from the store I plan on ordering from...
4. I will update the block after everyones help in construckting the perfect list.
5.I am looking for it as I type :-)
6. Bakagetha beet you to it, I am also searching for that now

Don't forget the silver kill coil if you use distilled water. Just drop it in the tube somewhere away from the pump (or the res if it won't get sucked into the pump)

When it comes to barbs, there's not a lot of difference. I personally use XSPC's barbs because they're cheap and work just fine. They don't come in a matte black, but very little of the barb shows once you have everything assembled, so they don't look out of place. I'd go with their Black Chrome, though the chrome are just as good. Pick up 10 of these, and then 10 hose clamps, and you're set for fittings, you shouldn't need any angle adapters unless you're doing something crazy. As for hose clamps, pick whatever you like the look of:

White reusable - designed for the tubing I linked and matches the color, nice and affordable.
White delrin Danger Den - Another nice color match, same price, different look
Standard worm-drive clamp - Ugly but simple, and cheap.

Bakageta- I like the first reusable ones you listed, and they are cheap to. Thank you

Problem is, only the basic EK pumps which aren't D5-level of awesome have these adaptors. You could get a pump top but it voids the warranty so my personal advice, especially to a newbie, would be to get yourself a separate cylinder res.

"newbie" I prefer the term "learner of the watercooling arts" or lotwa hehe biggrin.gif

And thats fine, the pics I saw all had seperate reservoirs, and it looked awesome!! I just need to find one that will hold enough liquid and isn't to big in form

I am using two of these for my next build - prevents vortexes so is quite good...
