I've contacted their support to ask if there are any intentional weights added inside the mouse.

I have to say I love this mouse, I keep trying to use it like a finger/claw mouse but to be honest, when I started palming it more I noticed i could actually aim really well. I've never been able to use a palm grip mouse for aiming so im really pleased with this.

I think if there is a way to shave some weight off by modding the mouse and maybe adding something to the top thumb buttons so i can feel which one im pressing then ill be very happy with this mouse.

Just got this today, not happy. It's not remind me of the old IME 1.1 or the logitech mx310 at all, it's too high and the sides too slick and flat, I'm not able to comfortably claw grip it, palm is just awful but I know it's not meant for that and I really don't like palm grip anyway.

The side buttons which were a selling feature for me are the biggest problem, they're too easy to push(as in require a really light touch to press, plus being in a bad spot and bad shape) plus, they're not even programmable so what's the point, I don't see why I would need two sets of buttons doing the exact same thing.

I'll give it a few days, I'll test it out on some FPSs, see if I get used to it again, but otherwise I saw some mx310s new in the box supposedly from Korea for $20 total, I might just buy a few to use and have around since it just seems impossible to get a mouse I like nowadays.

The buttons are programmable. Mine do different things. Just go into the software and click the tab that says "buttons".

Coming from Zowie's AM I thought he same, it is too chubby, but I find it more controllable than the way too low FK and even if not that comfortable it makes my hand cramp less than the tiny and slippery mice like FK and Roccat Kone Optical. But the problem with these is really less the shape but the coating.
So basically it is not a comfortable mouse for me, but very controllable in fast paced games and tends to keep my hand more relaxed.

Give it some time, it won't get better, but perhaps you may appreciate it more for what it offers. I hope for a better shape with the next CM Storm mouse though.

I've gotten a bit more used to it over the past few days. But what am I supposed to set the buttons to that makes them usable for something else in game? Any way I've set it up either two buttons double as the same function so say I set the forward button on the left to jump in a game as button 4, the front side button on the right is also button 4 and also jumps. If I set it to anything but default the buttons not as ie forward or back just dont work in game at all. I finally settled on just making them one big button like how the 1.1 basically was, not ideal but no big deal.

Something fairly annoying is the settings on the mouse don't seem to work when I just turn my computer on until I start the program in windows. But it's better I guess I'll keep it.

I assign the DPI buttons to keyboard "U" and "I", and the right side buttons to "o" "p" and I configure these in all games. I did this before I had the mouse though. Its not really a problem with the mouse, you just have assign something else to it.

I could confirm, there is no weight added. There is nothing you could remove easily.

Unfortunately they use very thick plastic partially. Even some kind double wall around the switches.

Guys i'm going to have to backtrack on some stuff.

I've had time to play with this mouse now and I can honestly say it is one killer of a mouse. It is the only other mouse that is equal to the spawn and in some ways superior.

I've gotten used to the heavy weight of the mouse now and I feel very strong with my aim in TF2. The firmware is better as the mouse tracks better than the spawn, I can't feel the cable at all and it is simply epic.

I highly recommend this mouse, once you get used to it, it is something I don't want to put down.

For some reason, I found moving up to 3200DPI/5 LOD/1000hz to produce much more sensitive and accurate tracking. My twitch gameplay is as sharp as ever. In fact, everytime I hold it and move the cursor I feel in full control, it really does have that "edge" so to speak. I'm enjoy this mouse a lot.

Shape seems oddly chubby, but it gives you hell of control. It is like holding some jet stick (odd comparison).

One thing I have to criticize though is the switches and the wheel.

Now the wheel is actually one of the best I've had, very nice steps and fast scrolling, not too loose not to tight. One of my favorites, but it makes that typical noise if scrolling hard and seems not to sit very firm, but to move if you push it with the finger slightly.

The switches are relatively light, but don't feel great, tapping them often feels like they click two times. A bit unclean.

The side buttons are not great either, they are way too light (almost feel lighter than the main buttons) and their position is a but too much at the front (like with the Spawn).

I tried the Roccat Kone Optical and this is some high quality switches and wheel right there. As said, the wheel is actually better with the Recon, but the Roccat one sits extremely firm and solid and it sounds great. The main buttons are wonderful. If CM Storm can incorporate an equal quality to their mice. I wouldn't mind paying a little more.

I'm considering buying this mouse in the white version. Which kind of coating does the white version have?

The CM site mentions only one type of coating ("Super Grip coated") both for the gray/black and the white version. I find it strange that a white mouse is not glossy.
