[MT] Corsair Silently Launches individually sleeved cables - Page 22

My HX PSU is semi-modular, basically the 8 pin and 24pin motherboard power are integrated (non-modular) and the rest is modular.

I didn't because the HX kits doesn't come with the 24pin motherboard but they did come with 8pin power for the motherboard one. I find it odd why they only provide one for an non-modular cable.

And of course I can buy the 24pin extension separately but that is going to cost a lot more for the whole kits.

I did, if you read some pages back. I got the red and the black set (2 sets). Cables are excellent and the sleeving is extremely durable. Well worth the money in the saved time and effort and pretty much guaranteed to withstand abuse. I love the cables and am sporting the red set in my rig right now smile.gif

Oh of course, I was just comparing a finished product (corsairs) to a finished product (getting a PSU sleeved).

I was thinking about getting the AX850 cords for my XFX PSU (Both made by Seasonic). The layouts match.
I also bought the Corsair sleeved cables but from FrozenCPU since I don't wanna get dinged with massive taxes from UPS if buying directly from Corsair. Honestly, the sleeving is high quality, but the heatshink wrap is done rather ****ty I'd say so myself. They started coming off the socket hole! I'm not sure if the heatshrink is supposed to be like this but I'm rather disapointed in the quality control for the cables.

Here's some pics:

Maybe I got a bad batch or something... I love the cables but the heatshrink sucks, yes I'm that picky.

Hachi-chan, for a 90 dollar set of cables you have every right to be picky. I just bought the NZXT cables separately and am very happy with the overall quality.
Well that sucks Hachi-chan. Maybe George can help you out with the problem.
