I have quite the conundrum here. I got a longer HDMI cable to hook my main rig here up to my TV. The TV will some times display a shaking or flashing display, but most often it will just not display anything unless I turn the resolution down to 1280 x 1024 and then it will work...if you can call that working. I tried everything I can possibly try in the Nvidia Control Panel with no other results.

First I thought the cable was bad, but it will work just fine if plugged into my 5850's regular HDMI port. This cable will not display even to my monitor if plugged into the GTX 580's mini-hdmi adapter though. Can a cable only work with regular HDMI ports?

Before I send this cable in for a new one...will a new one even work? I see no difference between my other HDMI cables that do work with the adapter and this one. Is there a certain type of cable needed to connect to adapters like that came with the 580? I thought I would ask around before I sned this cable back for a new one. I might just drop another $20 for one of the same length from a different company rather than mess around sending it in.

Why couldn't EVGA just of stuck a regular HDMI port on there? There is plenty of room for it, but no...make us fool around with adapters and crap.
