Notorious NVIDIA Driver issues

Specs:

Asus P9x79
3930k
8gigs of ram

Video card http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814121446

Apparently there is no real solution to this, I've tried clean installing the latest drivers including the beta.
I get this error msg white surfing the net, like right this second.
It seems to affect random people, should I return for a Radeon?

I'm not doing any overclocking or anything fancy. My rig has the latest bios updates, etc.
Haven't tried running newer games, only FIFA 12 and crysis 2 so far, no issues.

I've tried everything listed in that thread in Nvidias control panel, to no avail.

It's happened about 15 times since I posted this msg. I don't think a new 9 series driver will fix anything

Happens from time to time for a majority of us. When I do run Windows which isn't often, it'll happen maybe once a day or less, but it normally pops right back with no problem.

Windows is a joke.
Anyways I have large music sessions going so this can't be happening inside my music software program. IT can be a colossal crash of instruments.

And it happens very often for me, 50 times a day

Thinking about flashing the Cards bios but I know it won't do ****

I think. Nvidia must have somehow screwed up on their driver support for the 560's in general (560ti's seem to be fine). However you could try possibly using the beta drivers, perhaps they fixed the issue. Have you also tried perhaps going to your specific gpu manufacturers site (if its not a direct nvidia card i.e. asus etc.) and downloaded their driver sets? I've honestly only ever encountered that problem once with my current desktop (back when i was running my GTS 450 as primary, and running a beta driver set, where it crashed while i was just browsing the web, then recovered and didn't happen again.) However it did happen like four or so times back when i was using my old laptop with its 8600m GS graphics chip.

might be a bad card.
The voltage probably for the card at 2D low power is not enough to make it stable. Thats why it is stable while gaming but not while surfing.
Nvidia Inspector I guess will probably allow you to over-volt the cards 2D low-power clocks.

I get that message too sometimes. However, is not that often. I've gotten it like 2-3 times in few months i've had this 560 card. Oddly had never happened
when I'm gaming and has happened only when I'm looking at OCN or Youtube wth.gif
