This is awesome!

Firefighters are amongst the most respected people I know, so I'm glad to witness you building something for yourself!

Have fun with this, I'll be watching from the safezone

Well here we GO!

Everything arrived today. biggrin.gif

450
700

So the first thing I had to do was try the heatshrink out on the tube. It looks VERY nice. The compression is a little hard to get on though....

450

Realistic ripples

450

Note: Bmavericks pumps did not work with the screws that came with my res combo. I drilled out the wholes and added washers.

450

450

Case after stripping and before the knife.

450

Here is where the rad is going, for the person that asked. biggrin.gif very nice fit.

450

Far left line is the end of the PSU, right line is the end of the molex connectors (i got a fully modular psu) and there is still plenty of room. The cables will be coming out towards the top of the psu, above the rad.

450

Cut the 5 hdd bay down to 2, This will fit right under the res/pump.

450

There will be a door covering the bays, so i can put things right up to the edge of the case.

700

Oh no... my side latch hits the 5.25 bays.... i can fix that biggrin.gif*come here dremel, who wants some metal to chew!*

450

This will be on the side panel, and there will be a metal catch so it will hold the door shut.

Thanks for looking, and there will be another update later today.

Adjustable catch for the side panel latch.

450

Cutting off the side panel's clips, so it will swing out.

450

Caselabs hinge... I know it is upside down Jim... but It only works for me this way, for this situation. (pivot is in a working place)

450
450

After cutting all this small stuff... i have the fun job of making it clean tomorrow yay..... :/

450
700

First latch fitted. The panel will have to be strengthen but the window may help alot.
450
450

I have the window and other latch all outlined to cut tomorrow. Also will be cutting the space for rad, and working with the hard drive cage.
Thanks for looking.

Rectange.

I have cut out the rad, window and second latch. The side panel is just the way i want it. biggrin.gif

700
450
450

so i got a huge piece of diamond plate for free. It is a little oxidized and there are a few spots that are not usable, but this is still a huge saver.

700

Rad hole cut and fitted, also the floor is installed. Im waiting on the metal for the drive bay area. This metal will extend all the way down to the floor.

450
450

Here is a latch of the lower latch catch.

450

Ive gotten a little more done but it is more layout things than actual modding.

Will update you soon.

Love the diamond plates and red theme, very firefighter-esque.

I think this is one of the coolest themes yet, rivalling Fshizl's Polemos.

The fact that it is so personal, and you're pulling it off so well makes it awesome.

finished the front door today. Went ALOT better and easier than i was thinking it would have.

700

Some more (upside down) Caselabs hinges.

700

It opens!

450

It works better than i thought. I dont need to make a bracket for the latch to hold onto. It just latches to the bezel itself, and it clears everything and it can just be pulled off with the bezel.

450
450

Testing Clearances

450

And it detachable for installation and display.

700

More to come tomorrow.

thumb.gif Very cool, can't wait to see more.

I take it you have some art work skills with that gold leaf trim design you have planned.
