Whoa. Nice! Just think... with that you bought a little bit of Kim .Com's Mansion..

Lol maybe a square foot of marble...

You guys need to remember that no one shut down FileSonic, they shut themselves down. If it was a completely legal operation, then they can prove that in court. The fact they pre-emptively shut down makes me think otherwise...

Stop paying these rediculous prices for average overhyped actors
Make an online movie store something similar to what Apple did with iTunes
Lower prices to 5 euro per movie
I bet everybody will be to lazy to pirate movies if the price is right and they are easy to buy online.

Too bad it won't hapen they rather spend millions trying to push hard handed and flawed bills or enforce scare tactics like with MU.
Hollywood is disgusting

Movie and Music industry dramatically needs to adjust their business model but they are too greedy to do that , they rather try to strong arm people into submission and hurt legitimate users and companies in the process , but hey they make millions so why should they care about ordinary people.

Oh well... it's saved me from wasting a few hundred dollars on crap tier software that I otherwise couldn't return if I had purchased it.

Indeed...many pirates use pirating as a try before you buy system without which many movies, cds etc. would never have been purchased. In this sense pirating was HELPING the industry because the so called pirates would never have made a purchase otherwise. So the industry didn't lose any money as there are theoretically an infinite number of digital copies that could be made so no physical property that cost money to create was lost. By bullying sites into shutting down what is essentially a free marketing tool for some they are costing themselves paying customers....this actually pleases me in a twisted sense...

Really? Filesharing has been around for as long as the Internet, yet the entertainment industries have grown massively year on year.
Related industries have grown alongside it. cyberlockers being one of them. Now shutting down MU scares the other cyberlockers into neutering their business, which has a direct effect on the cyberlockers business, causes monetary losses to their customers, and has a knock on effect on the cyberlockers suppliers (data centres).
More people are actually losing out than being protected.

As I said, no one forced FileSonic to shut down. If it was a completely legit business, they could prove this in a court of law or by protest. We did it with SOPA/PIPA and the Digital Millenium Act is under appeal from ISP's in British courts. Illegal moves are dealt with in the court of law.

They shut themselves down. If it was kosher, they shouldn't have needed to do this.

What has getting a job and earning money have to do with people using filesonic? That would imply that EVERYONE that uses/used FS was doing so for downloading files illegally.

Some of us were using it for sharing our own private files you know? And we paid good money for "premium" services, so comments like yours are doh.gif
