Heres a pic:

The CPU is now only ~40*C because the case is open and I temporarily replace the stock fan with a socket 478 one. But i cant keep that fan there forever...

The CPU fan is the one spinning at ~2500RPM (7cm) and the fan spinning at 4500RPM is 5cm and blowing my HDD

A question: where is "Temp 1"?? I cant be NB cause the heatsink temp doesnt match.

Your NB can be a different temp then your CPU, I suggest you write the temps down and then go into your BIOS to match them up.

Maybe its time for a upgrade, the durons are getting on a bit now.
Even my cpu is considered out of date.

What he said!

The best low cost replacement would be the TT V12 which clips on, is all copper and has an adjustable fan.

A socket-A 60c on load? So what? It's perfectly normal. The lowest I've seen a socket A go was with the cooler in my specs, it ran 52c on load. Usually mine does about 62c on load, they can easily take it.

Its still going to give you the best results as I doubt your CPU temp is going to be above your NB temp in your BIOS, plus its such a short period of time no temp change really happens. Also it actually labels what each temps is (in both my gigabyte and dfi it has).

No, actually they can go up to around 65°C. I have 2 XP2800's that run at 55°C and 57°C loaded all day long. And before those, I had a T-Bird 1.2 oc'd to 1.6 and it ran at 61°C all day long. I know you want cooler temps, but I think you need to reset your goal. If you're looking for 40's load, you're dreaming. That chip just runs hot.

Now, look for a cooler made by Spire. Not Aspire, just Spire. It cost me $10 US, comes with a standard 80mm fan you can upgrade and is quiet. I "upgraded" then fan on mine with one out of a PSU that had more CFM, but was just as quiet. That particular chip, another XP2800+ runs at 46°C full load 24/7. I think you could get to maybe 50-51 with a cooler like that.

EDIT: This is the EXACT cooler I mean:

^^I had one just like that. I put a 80mm to 120mm adapter on it and got some amazing temps with my 3200+.
