Patriot 32GB 2.5in SATA II MLC SSD (Solid State Drive), Refurbished. Model: RF32GS25SSDR[$28.99] - Page 2

I just ordered one!!! (I always wanted my HTPC setup to have a cheap, fast and low-power SSD in place of the current 80GB HDD, which I'm selling off).  An Indilinx SSD is awesome in the sense that it's still actually  fast (perhaps not like my high end X-25M 80GB in my sig, but plenty fast).
Only $33 shipped to Canada with the ground residential shipping option biggrin.gif

Is 32GB even enough for an HTPC? How would that work? Just squeeze it in somewhere and use the other hdd's as data drives?

I have one of these in my netbook and a similar one from kingston in my HTPC, both work great with full installs of windows home premium - about 10gb left.

For my HTPC all my media is shared with Homegroup so it just needed the SSD for boot.

What would be faster raid 2 of these or 1 64GB.

I wouldn't put two refurbished eol drives in raid 0 personally. It seems ridiculous to kill trim support to still have a slower drive than something like a 64GB agility 3 that'll only cost you a few dollars more new.

I ordered one too, I'll probably setup SSD caching with it on some budget build.

Thanks AMOCO, In for 1. I also picked up a wireless N usb adapter for the nice price of $7.99. The link is below. The shipping did
not increase so I could not pass it since I just upgraded to N.
