Low PLL Voltage?

Thread Starter
Just wondering what the PLL voltage does, does having it lower provide any benefit? It's currently at 1.5 but can go to 1.425.

Might aswell add this.

The PLL or Phase Locked Loop is the component that multiplies the the bus frequency to get the final core frequency. Without a phase locked loop, the CPU would run at the same frequency as the FSB. If you can safely lower voltages that is always preferred. Theoretically it increases the longevity of the component. In reality you might slightly lower temps but that is about all you will notice.

I'm interested in this as well, since setting mu CPU PLL @1,3V (the minimum on my board) results in perfect stability, while stock voltage and overvoltage made my OC unstable
