hey mate, i think i fixed the issue i think it was my gpu of all things, i had the amd overdrive software on and because i didnt tune it properly (and forgot it was on) i think it was locking up to stop my gpu from being killed LoL...ive since turned overdrive off and no issue as of yet...very unhappy to as i pulled my ram heatsinks off in a panic attack thinking it was them and they're no good anymore
oh well guess ill live with low profile ram for the moment 

p.s. i also monitored temps and both gpu & cpu were in safe territory gpu around 65 degrees C and cpu around 45 degrees C...
