you're welcome, I've seen it mentioned several times on the site and only with good results, I have faith in their customer service.

I like the cutout idea, you'd probably have to omit the middle screw that holds the white plastic on the door face, then etch that somehow. How do you intend to make the cutouts? the top is obviously just one layer of plastic so perhaps you wouldn't need any strip lighting but rather expose it to a well-lit top portion? see my images above and how I placed my NZXT Hue strip, it lights up the top, front face, and interior quite well.

Otherwise take a look at how you'd run LED strips and what it would entail when removing the front bezel if it ran directly to the top bezel. I've not done much case modding but I think if you were to carefully cut out some designs, light the inside of the door, and then have matching lighting up top it would flow well.

Find some high intensity led bulbs and etch the design I. The part then you were the leds up to a rssitor and hid it and the leds should light up the ressessed parts and the plastic will be Essen through

So i put my H100 in today, heres a few pics.
Before -

Rad and block in place -

Top view -

All in place -

And all closed up -

Install wasnt too tricky, once i got my head around how i wanted to mount the radiator. I wasnt sure about the 3 pin plug from the waterblock unit onto the 4 pin header on the mobo, i put it onto the left three. I assume everythings working as the lights are on and it sounds like its doing something, temps look alright also. Let me know what you think!

Hi guys,
I'm about to buy a mid tower cabinet and I can't decide between this Phantom 410 gun metal edition (Looks awesome and stylish biggrin.gif) and the Corsair 400r ( Everyone is recommending the 400r over the Phantom 410 because of the absence of dust filters in the Phantom 410).
I thought I could get some solid plus points from the guys who actually bough it and are using it for this NZXT case over the 400r apart from the external appearance so that I can buy one and join this club wink.gif

Thanks in advance smile.gif

Hi Godmode,
Picking a case is definitely a tough choice, and its worth spending a bit more the first time cause you can have it for multiple builds as time goes on. Just keep in mind its one of the items you are really going to be looking at. This is why I choose the 410 phantom. I went for style over function, not that it isnt functional. I dont know much about the 400r but i know corsair makes good stuff. I dont think there are many mid tower cases around that will fit as much into it as the 410, see my pics above for how much room there still is even with the watercooling in place. A full custom loop could be done quiet easily too, as part of the harddrive storage space can be removed for whatever reason. I also found, that even though it was my first build it was quite easy to build in, lots of space behind the motherboard panel for cable routing and lots of tiedown points to keep it all neat back there. It is a deep space too, i have a few messy parts behind there and the case still closes comfortably.
Hope this helps
- Burgies.

Bro if theres anything i can do to help you out let me know .I'm know sure what way you are taking the build but i have some .50 cal rounds, some .223 rounds, a couple 9mm clips, 8mm mouser rounds and many other types i could take apart and make safe for you to use without blowning ya fingers off smile.gif Safe to mail also i believe, i'll have to check on that tho. So get with me so we can talk and see what ya might need.

Thanks for the offer to help Kevin. I will definitely be taking you up on it. I still have alot of thinking and deciding to do on all the accessories I'll be using and the styles. I have so many ideas. Being in the hospital that time gave me time to fill a note pad and a half with ideas for several projects I have in mind. And you know I was dying to reuse the Phantom 410. I totally love that case. I know it will end up being a real nice build once it's all said and done. Then like I said once it's done running it's tour through the forums and mod contests it'll be being either auctioned off or sold and 100% of the proceeds will be donated to a local V.A. hospital in the name of whatever sponsors I get in on it and whoever else helps and of course mine. Like I said I already have a pretty good start on it. I have the case,990fxa-ud5 mobo,1090t cpu, ram, psu, paracord, most of the cooling loop and various add on accessories like the patches and some badges for it. I have sent out a ton of proposals to prespective sponsors. I'm keeping my fingers crossed and hope that they see that it is going to be built to honor great men and then going to be sold for a good cause. Hopefully they realize this and decide to help me out with it.

I was taking pics of my keyboard and decided to snap a few of my case as it sits now, apart and waiting for more fans in the mail. I figured...why put it together to take it apart (after removing parts to brainstorm fan cable routing, it was assembled...lol)
Anyway here's some teaser pics. I guess I should make a build thread?

Nice start there buddy thumb.gif

Now to plan my Spiderman Mod!! Black / White symbiote spiderman.
Has anyone cut a design into the front panel door? I want to cut a web design then have back lighting (white) show it off with a Symbiote Spiderman Symbol in the middle of the door highlighted with white LED. I was considering Running the design from the front panel up the top panel with EL Wire lights and such behind the web design. Any thoughts?
These being the inspiration:
Symbiot Spiderman Logo
Symbol with webbing
Let me know what you think of the idea and any suggestions you might have along those lines. thumb.gif

When it comes to customer service NO ONE Beats NZXT Period!!! Their customer service and professionalism before and after a sale is bar none. I haven't had many issues with their products but the few I have had have all been taken care of very quickly and hassle free. I called them about a noisy fan controller on my 410 when I first got it. They sent e a new revised version in a matter of less than a week. NZXT ROCKS!!! That's another reason why I decided to not sell my Phantom 410 and reuse it for the POW Tribute build. Plus I'll also be using a NZXT 2meter red sleeved led kit and a Sentry Mix fan controller.

When I decided to upgrade cases from my Cooler Master Storm Scout those were the 2 cases I had in mind also. But after comparing the 2 of them side by side at Microcenters it was no doubt that the Phantom 410 was the better choice. It is alot more user friendly, has alot more options when it comes to either air cooling or water cooling. Plus the look of the Phantom line is undisputably beyond the style cues of any other case out. The COrsair is a nice case but the Phantom 410 beats it all day and twice on sundays. Plus just the fact of it's looks. A corsair can esaily be mistaken for alot of other brand cases because of it's basic square box design. But the Phantom 410 on the other hand is a totally different story. You can have an arena full of different brand and model cases lined up on tables side by side and without a doubt anyone who sees a Phantom will know what it is and never mistake it for something else. My advise as I went through the dilema of having to choose from the same 2 cases you are right now would be go with the Phantom 410 you will not regret it. It also has more helpful accessories that very few othewr case do actually I don't even think there is another mid sized tower in it price range that can even compare to the amount of options the Phantom 410gives you. 2 removable hd cages, fan filters in several locations, cutout mobo tray for easy cpu cooler removal and installation,3 speed fan controller that can run up to 7 fans, good space on the right side between side panel and mobo tray for cable management and if you decide to use the hd cages it also has the adjustable fan mount to direct airflow towards your gpu or mobo.

Wait a few days bro before you decide on a case because NZXT in releasing a new Phantom and there is no telling what they have changed the design to, i'd say that it will be more filter friendly because alot of people have complained about that to them.

I'm seriously thinking about going with a H100 and selling my H60, i just love the look of it so much more. But my temps are just fine so there is no logical reason to do so frown.gif lol. I eventually am going to go full or maybe even dual loop once i get my 2500k and new mobo, i can sell off my old mobo and 960T for the parts needed for a loop i think. I dunno how much that watercooling stuff costs but i'm sure that would get me started at least. I'll have to get with you Chino on that cause you are gonna help me pick all my parts lol. Yes i just designated you!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello, welcome and kind regards to the recent influx of new folks..

Congrats to the very 'sick' (is that what the cool kids are saying these days?) rigs that are appearing. I think this is one of the friendliest forums I have ever had the pleasure of posting in, and have been made welcome by all almost everyone! I think when you have the encouragement and ability to bounce your ideas of a community such as OCN, it helps produce some really nice rigs and help push the boundaries.

So well done everyone - have a pat on the back. thumb.gif
