If anyone remembers I'm that fan guy! I've finally ordered my bits and bobs so here it goes!
  • Phantom 410 Black/Orange
  • H100 water cooler
  • Artic Accelero Twin Turbo GPU cooler which is for my GTX 480. When I was doing work for Nvidia they gave me one but the stock cooler was like a jet engine no joke!
  • NZXT Orange LED cabling 2M long
  • Two Akasa black apache fans (For the radiator)
  • Two Aerocool Sharks Evil black edition 120mm (Orange LEDs)
Excited but I still have to wait until I get my old PC back from my ex's house which is just under two weeks thumbsdownsmileyanim.gif
I do have a new question now. Well maybe not new to you guys but anyway: What way should I be installing the radiator and fans? Radiator on top with fans underneath it but should they be acting as an exhaust or turned around so they intake air essentially keeping the radiator cooler. My problem then would be that I only have ONE exhaust fan.
Thanks folks!
You will like the Artic Accelero Twin Turbo i used to have one on my old 670 and it ran cold for a gpu. I don't have a H100 so i can't tell ya about that but i would run it as exhaust to go with the natural airflow of the case.

It's getting there, I'm still waiting for the video card but I figured I would get everything else sorted while I wait.

Looking good, I've got the P8z77v too! smile.gif Great board. just make sure to update the drivers for the thing and update bios in the actual bios, not using the software after boot. rolleyes.gif didn't work for me and downloaded the wrong file, while being extremely slow. ended up having to revert the board and try again with a file that i downloaded manually onto a USB. that worked great. fan xpert2 and other programs have updates on the ASUS site, as well.

Getting a new CPU cooler in the future?biggrin.gif what are your current temps and what CPU?

Thank you for the advice, all done now. smile.gif As for current temps, it seems to be between 24 and 27, the motherboard is at 23. Are these normal readings? I've yet to really push the system since I don't have my video card yet.

i5-3570K, going from a duo core to this is pretty incredible.
I'm not sure what temps that CPU runs at but using core temp I'm around 28-30 with an aftermarket cooler so it looks like you're fine at idle.

I asked how my temps looked on the forum once I did the intel burn test (full load on CPU, went up to around 70 degrees celcius), you'll probably want to do that to check things over and make sure your CPU is stable, among other things. you'll see temps climb a lot smile.gif there's different thresholds for different CPU's though so I'm not certain what limits to watch out for on yours, but stay below 70 until you find out what's recommended.thumb.gif

And yep, when I upgraded from a pentium D processor I really was happy, too! biggrin.gif:D so great. I've only recently made the switch myself.
