I like it sir, the blue doesn't stand that much out but, it is still great looking. I like that shade of blue, a lot. What color exactly? Royal?

P.s How do you quote something on this right ?[/quote] Those are great temps! When you start to get past the 88c mark then you should rethink some things. [A 'Back to the Future', that I hope most people got xD]
The H100i will help more but it's hard to say how much exactly. I'm a quiet nut [all my fans are Corsair Quiet Edition average RPM is I would like to say 400RPM] and at 4.4GHz I average 28c, with small things, my Idle temp is 23c, and prime95 was I believe 77c. I don't have a video card to do gaming yet to compare those temps ... very sad.

I have never run prime as I don't see much point seen as I just game and render images and stuff like that but its nice to know that my temps are not that bad then seen as that's on a stock heat sink thank god. I don't mind noise as much tbh as I have music on most the time the only ever time it does my head in is when I am watching a film but I just turn the fans down for that aha so not that bad really I just mostly wanted to know weather it would really be worth having the H100i as it means saving up a large amount of money for me lol mad.gif

so a question for my fellow computer literates.... as you may know i recently got myself G.Skillz 16gb ripjaws 2 x8gb 1600mhz kit. Now i had the same ram previously in a 2 x 4 gb kit though and had to overclock it to 1600mhz as out of box it only ran at 1333mhz (even though it was a 1600mhz kit), thats no problem ran fine for the 9 months i had it.

When i put the 16gb kit in and booted i got a message pop up after the bios screen saying "this system has had recent failures due to overclocking" and stated my current clock speeds (i dont overclock anything!!) and would than revert it back to 1333mhz, i had to reset my cmos to get the message to dissapear.....

Any ideas as to why its doing this to me? i wouldnt imagine i would have to increase voltage on such a small increase on ram, perhaps a mobo failsafe?? its the gigabyte 990fx-ud7.

Any help appreciated
Cheers guys

Will.

Then you are set! thumb.gif If you plan on Overclocking 4.4GHz or higher then you might want to look into an aftermarket cooler. It's not a must but it will help keep your CPU cooled at better temps to keep it lasting longer. Other than that, you are good to go friend.

I don't know if I said it or not but welcome to OCN biggrin.gif

if your overclocking yes, if your system is prone to overheating (external reasons) than yes. The temps your getting are completely normal if anything there above average. As previously stated if your cpu surpasses 60 (personal opinion) yes get a WC, and if GPU surpasses 80 (again personal opinion) get a WC for that to, seeing as yours are well below you could comfortably run air cooling no problem and sink the money into something else! thumb.gif

As far as I know the motherboard is what keeps most memory at stock speeds of 1333mhz and you will have to use the X.M.P profile to get the full speed that you want. If you reset the cmos and everything is back to default, try to run X.M.P again and you should be good. X.M.P is a loading file to run RAM at said clocked speeds. It's the easiest way to get it to run at 1600mhz.

I don't know why it did that unless you didn't reset bios back to defaults before installing the new RAM. Which shouldn't matter but I get the error when I switch RAM without resetting to defaults.

I've been having this problem since I got my 410. About one time in three when I plug in a USB device in my front panel my video card shuts down. My best guess is a short in the front panel USB. Has anyone else had this problem? Is there a simple fix or do I need to replace the front panel?
