Actually. I have two of those cases, one being white, and the other one in black.
However, the black one is still in progress( 90% complete ).It's currently in a PC shop and could be completed for about 4 days, I think.

anyone here manage to use a push/pull config with a corsair h100i? Mounting the rad to the top, x2 fans inside push and x2 thin 20mm fans pull would work.

Hey everyone!

I've just built my first personal desktop in a long while and had a question about this case's filtering.

I have two, large, long-haired cats in my home. I just ordered some fan filters, but then I noticed there's actually a smaller, filter-like mesh behind the main mesh on the front of the case.
It seems to be the same as the mesh on the bottom where the PSU goes.

Is this probably sufficient for filtering out some intake dust and pet hair on the front?
Would I be basically choking my case to add a filter behind this mesh?

Thanks!

I would imagine one should suffice. Try it out for a couple weeks with just the one, then open your case, examine the fan on your heatsink and graphics card if that applies, and check the filter. If everything looks good and you don't have any build out or cat hairs lying around inside just keep using the one. Just remember to pick up some air dusters and clean that bad boy out every now and then thumb.gif

See how you go, i dont run the front air filter at all (have 1 cat and dog that malt ALOTTT) and with a cleaning or blow out every few months its been fine...i'd see how you go and add further down if need be.

You cannot do push/pull on the top because of clearance, even if you did find and like 16mm thin fans, they wouldn't be good enough to help your temps out. If you have enough good fans then you won't even need push/pull because the H100i with this case is plenty of good for it.

If you feel that you really have to do push/pull and won't feel good about it until it happens then you can mod the front of your case by taking out all the hard drive bays and try it that way or go full watercooled. I personally would take out the 5.25" bay and middle hard drive bay and mount my H100i there if I really felt like it since I don't even use roms but that's just me.

agreed, only used the dvd drive once to install windows XD....im looking into DAS (direct attached storage) devices to completely remove the 3.5" drive bays entirely.. just not 100% sure how it'd go in terms of gaming and wether id loose fps...i could than fit a 240mm rad in that space couldn't i??

No, not really. One is enough right? Talking about the black one, yeah, I did need someone's help, coz I'm planning to get water-cooling solution on that one. And I'm not that good at installing that one ( I'm 16 and I'm still a noob at water-cooling).
