^^ probably wont do much...crossfire using aircooling those cards will pump out some serious heat. can remove hdd cage but doubt youll see much change. and mounting up top wouldnt be advised as itd be sucking up the 2nd hand heated air from GPU's.

Ideal place is up front...interesting cpu is heating up whilst playing bf3 though...my fx-8350 doesnt go past 45 degrees on air...

If I needed to replace the case power led, how would I do this?

yep, the + on the battery to the pled+ and the - on the pled-, the LED should lit up if its not faulty, if you need to replace the LED, any electronic store should have one, also the wires, any gauge will be fine as long as it will fit on the holes of the PLED connectors,

just thought of this, much easier way to test, as you have said HDD LED working right? have you tried swapping the HDD LED and plugging it in on the PLED pins? if it still doest work your PLED connector, wire, or LED is faulty,

Hey all, it's been a while! been busy with life, photography and that business.

Thought I'd stop in with a picture from when I was working on customizing my case with LED's, and ask about what's new in computing that I've missed. felt most at home here...biggrin.gif

Two channels independently controlled, and tied to accent lighting on my keyboard and my monitor. I might post how-to pics later but basically I have something around 60 5050 RGB LED's and a HUE strip (24?) on my case, 30 in my keyboard, and then 30 waiting for mounting on my dual monitors. I've been to busy for even that though, so me coming here to share a picture is all I've got ATM. I'm looking at page 66 of 102 as my last view of this thread! rolleyes.gif
I don't even want to try reading through it, wish I had time.

Anything cool or new I've missed in the 410 world? Computers in general? I hear haswell is out, is that kinda meh? I bought the 3770k and already feeling outdated, at least it's not realistically obsolete or slow by any means. thumb.gif New architecture just more power savings and some boosted native clock speed with even less room for OC?

Also, I kinda want a GPU. I have a p8z77-v pro and a 3770k but no GPU...any recommendations for a great card that's perhaps a bit older so, cheaper? maybe a nice crossfire set? hoping for under 200 but not too far in performance from newer gen cards if possible, if there are no huge jumps in performance that is? I feel out of the loop!

anyway...

not sure if I've shared this in this thread or not? I think just in mechanical keyboards. anyway this is a Kinesis board that I installed LED's into. as you can see in this shot I had it wired tandem with the base lights on my 410. smile.gif I can switch connections with the internal lights (run off the HUE strip) or run either by itself if I want, too.

Hey Figit, you could get a 760 for around $250 USD on newegg, and they are pretty good cards. You can pick up 7950's for around $200, and they have similar performance if your interested in overclocking. SLI'ing 660's would be an alright option, though that might be getting a fair bit over the $200 mark. These prices are assuming your talking about USD though, $200 AUD wouldn't even buy a single 660 tongue.gif

The haswell isn't all that much better than Ivy Bridge, I bought a 3570k about a month or so before haswell came out, and rather than drop, the price has gone up another $50! tongue.gif

Your keyboard looks pretty darn cool! I'm not familiar with those types of keyboards, but i'm presuming they're better for typing? The LED's looks good anyhow.

If your happy to wait, the new gen AMD cards are coming out next month, and they could be good.

Thanks for the reply. I did connect the pled + and - to pc speaker and it did not light up during the boot process, so the case led is probably broken.

Is there a certain spec for the replacement led? What is the process for replacing the led (removal of old and install of new)? Should I just bring the old bulb into a Radio Shack?

That keyboard is awesome! 7950s are running at a good price right now, i just picked one up at microcenter by my house for $230, I upgraded from a GTX 560 and Ive noticed a real big difference so i would recommend the 7950. Plus, it is a really good OCer.

not sure what i'm doing wrong fellas, I bought a couple of 120mm Gelid slim fans (15mm) in order to run my h100 in push/pull configuration. Acting as exhaust, installed on the top, inside my case i have the stock corsair fans in push, outside the case the rad and the 2x slim fans on top of it in pull. By doing this, I would have assumed the top lid would close with no worries, but alas, it does not want to close. What am I doing wrong? I thought that as long as the fans outside the case are <16mm push/pull is possible with no mods? Please help!
here i fixed the cooling problem ! there was alot of dust stuck between the rad fans and i modded the noctua fan to go faster =)
and i added a nice carbon fiber vinyl to it in the process !
