Nice, good idea smile.gif Quite a few of us here have done that. I personally feel NZXT should have just done it stock. Nobody likes side panel fans tongue.gif

Long time lurker, first time poster.

Just wanted to show anyone who might search for "h100i push pull phantom 410" that it can fit ........ its just a very tight fit smile.gif This configuration has (4) total SP120 Quiet Editions. Again, just in case anyone else searches this, the quiet edition high static sp120's were a night and day difference to the (2) stock 120L's included with the h100i package. Not only did my temperatures actually decrease by a few degrees in push pull but the initial boot up "jet engine" is now less dB than my case fans. Definitely worth the $40 in my opinion. Just wish I had some screenshots to show the difference but I don't see myself going back to an old and less effective config just to show a few degrees.

Also, I will be devoting a couple of hours to cable management (so no need to point out my messy wires)

The last screenshot shows my recently de-lidded 3570k running IBT - I wish I had saved a screenshot showing the before temps, but, once again I messed up and was in the zone to make sure I didn't fry my CPU. The overall decrease was about 18C at 100% load using some older Artic S5 thermal paste that I had lying around. I have ordered CLP and hope to have the new paste on within the next week.

I really just wanted to use this as a reference because it scared the crap out of me and I almost let go of this setup thinking nobody else had tried for a good reason. Hopefully this can help someone in the future.

Very well done dude! How did you mount it? Looks like you have the push fans mounted outside as normal. I would guess then you drilled new holes and attached the rad plus pull fans to the chassis with small screws? Cleverly done so no cutting required on the bottom of the 5.25" bays.

Yes and yes. Unfortunately, the push pull is just a bit offset (you can kind of see in the first pic). I don't know that it is running to absolute max capacity as if they were perfectly in line but my temps and airflow make me pretty happy.

As for the radiator + pull fans they were such a tight fit under the cd tray that I thought about not securing them at all. Instead, I drilled through the bottom of the case and stuck a small piece of rubber on the end of 2 screws to reinforce the rad+pull fan combo. In reality, gravity will do a better job than my makeshift place holders.

Getting the rad in took a bit of leverage - its definitely not as secure as drilling and mounting with screws - but I can't really see a situation where there would be enough force applied to the front to upset the h100i (I can imagine many other parts floating around before the h100i gets dislodged)

@ kpd2003 I like it ^_^

One little question here : is there any difference between the Phantom 410 models other than colours ? coz I'm getting a black or black/something 410 and will paint the trims anyway.. and also be covering the power led so its light becomes red
post #5398 of 5801
No they are all the exact same, difference is only cosmetic. Pick a colour you like best!

I want it black and red trimmed rolleyes.gif I'll paint the trims myself, as well as some screws and whatnot in the inside...can't wait. I think I'll go with the model that has a white power led, white may lead to a nicer red when the translucid red plastic cover is applied.

I really can't understand why the other manufacturers don't make such cases, I mean, with such nice lines, sexy curves, being design and sobre.. I know it's a matter of taste, but I'm very surprised that the Phantom line still stands as something unique in its way of how case design is thought.
