I've been looking for a case, found out about 410 today and it caught my eye immediately. I've got some questions, seems I'm in the right place to ask them.

I've got Sapphire 290 Tri-X (305mm long), will it fit without removing the cage ?
Will a 140mm fan on the side as intake cause excessive noise (I've got aerocool case and you just can't put the fan on the side as intake, the noise is unbearable) ?
Is there a fan controller ? How many fans can it control at the same time ?

thx for any help

I have one of the very first 290's by XFX, with AMD's standard fan blower cooling kit it fit literally with less than 5mm to the cage including a fan. Since there was a fan right there i decided to keep the cage in even with it so close. Also I since have taken off the original cooler and put on NZXT's Kraken mounting bracket (allows for closed loop coolers on a GPU) everything fits pretty well. I don't have any pictures at the moment, but can get you some if you'd like to see.

Hello again everyone,

I like posting here, kills time. I have added a new feature i got for $34 on Newegg. A refurbed h100. I am soon going to mod with a Swiftech rezzie and some clear tubing. Also going to be losing all the NZXT fans and replacing with SP120's, the misses wants to purchase them for Christmas, so well wait biggrin.gif

I am using a Pull config on the rad. Why not push, or push/pull? Because the Asrock Extreme 3 has the mobo 8 pin at the very top left hand corner of the board, right on the edge. This actually sticks about about 1/8 inch across the edge of the rad, no possible way to mount fans on the bottom side of the rad. So I have had to put the pull config on top of the frame, with the rad below the 140mm fan cutouts. I am not sure if I am getting worse temps than push or push/pull, but I am sure that I am getting a nice 10C lower than my Respire T20.

On another note, I have sent several requests to NZXT regarding 3 of my NZXT case fans. They are popping like hell, and the way its going now, NZXT has the worst customer support I have dealt with, and this fan issue may make me get rid of all my NZXT gear period, but we will see.

Back earlier in the thread (can't find the exact post at the moment) all that it requires to remove the bottom cage is to take a drill with a drill bit the same size (or slightly smaller) as the rivets that hold in the metal rack. Its not super difficult but make sure you take your time because if you start with a bit that is too big it will bind up and jack up the metal.

Also make sure you use a metal drill bit. A wood drill bit will work for the first one maybe, but will dull very quickly and cause warping of your case. Finally as a side note: you will lose some of the stability that the rack gives to the structure so be sure to be careful with future mods!

Hi everybody!

New here and first time builder with high expectations from my 410! Here are a few pictures what i've done so far to the case. Just awaiting on parts to arrive to finally fit it all together, I just could not wait to start modding the case though!

4D carbon wrap with gold mesh and gold PCI slot covers. Ive also taken the 2 buttons from the top left of the case off to be sprayed gold. I will also change the front power LED from blue to purple as the theme inside the case will be purple and black with a touch of gold.

It's harder than you would think it is. Just keep pushing your drill through until the top of the rivet pops out.

Hi guys, i just ordered a black phantom 410 and thinking of making a black/red theme. Can anyone suggest to me a good red led fan that is good for the case? I was thinking of getting the COUGAR CFD but the fan blade is orange for the red led version. I just couldn't decide what fan to get. Can anyone help me? Thanks

edit: It would be better if the suggested fan is silent too but i don't really care about the noise (using headphones most of the time) unless it sounds like a jet engine lol
