Below is a list of what will fit in your Phantom 410
Unmodded:
240mm radiator (30mm thick) in push or pull in the top, X-flow radiators may block the rear exhaust fan.
120mm radiator in push/pull (up to 80mm thick), rear exhaust, bottom intake, top front intake, push in either top slot. Bottom intake may interfere with a long PSU or its wires.

Modded:
Removing the bottom HDD Cage (four rivets) opens up the front of the case to a 240mm (possibly an 80mm in push/pull) rad, with the ports at the bottom (may be a tight fit) or with the ports up top, requiring a cut into the bottom 5.25" bays. The bottom front fan mount can be cut off to allow for a 240mm radiator in the bottom instead.

The top of the case can be cut to fit a 280mm radiator (with some cutting, 30mm rad in push or pull) or even a 360mm radiator in push or pull. The 360 would likely run into the fan controller/front IO

Information provided by phillyd
Push or Pull only:
You must mount the radiator on one side of the plate and the fans on the other.

Push/Pull:
If you use normal 120 or 140 mm fans inside the case, the rad on top of the case, and fans that are <16mm thick, you can do push pull with no modding and have plenty of room to spare in the phantom 410

Information provided by phillyd
1.Remove the top panel of the case and take off the top portion of the case (25 phillips screws estimate). This will allow you to freely sandwich the rad / top panel / fans together without running into the motherboard.

2.After removing the top, the fan controller + pwr/reset button wires wont allow you to completely take off the top, so I placed the case on it's side and let the top rest perpendicular to the case.

3.Place the radiator on the inside of the top peice with the fill port facing down in the center of the case. And the 90 degree swivel elbows facing the inside rear of the case. (Went this direction because my mobo would have gotten in the way of the fill port. Some people might get away the other way depending on their mobo) (TIP: I placed the waterblock in the 5.25" bay with the tubes going through the top fan hole so you dont have the block dangling while installing the rad)

4.Mount the fans on the top as pull (Swiftech logo facing up)

5. Place the top back into the frame of the case and screw in (make sure all your fan control + pwr button cables go into their proper notch)

6.Mount the backplate for the waterblock to mobo

7.Mount the waterblock (TIP: Because the length of the tube was too damn long I gave them a good bend before mounting the block)

8.Enjoy

ATX, MICRO-ATX, MINI-ITX & yes even E-ATX

Warning about E-ATX motherboards
The Phantom 410 was not designed for E-ATX boards but they will fit. E-ATX motherboards are wider so the motherboard may cover your grommets which may add to cable management issues.
We would also like to address some concerns this change may bring regarding our previously released products:
Quote:
1. Phantom 820 already features the required fan spacing specifications for the NZXT Kraken X60.

2. Switch 810 has already begun production with revised top steel panels which allows for both 15mm and 20mm spacing.

3. Phantom 410 and Tempest 410 will happily accept the Kraken X40; however they will not be able to natively support the Kraken X60 due to their inherent hole spacing.
At the moment, NZXT's Switch 810 will be the only case receiving revised top steel panels for native Kraken X60 support. If you already own a Switch 810 and wish to purchase an NZXT Kraken X60, you may contact NZXT Support for a free replacement. The revised steel panels utilize screws for its installation, allowing users to easily replace the top steel panel with a standard Phillips head screwdriver.

Below is a how to guide on installing the Kraken X60 into the phantom 410 with some minor modifications, Please refer to this and do not clog the thread with questions re-installing this unit. Thanks to Kdman for the efforts!

I agree with this guy, the white looks great on the phantom, but on the 410 it looks cheap and too colorful, with all the black and blue. The red and black though are sweet!

how does it look cheap? i have it and it looks great.

Currently it's in the default place (at the top) but i might switch it with the front one. I'm getting some white light's for the inside soon and i think the blue wt the front might look better.

I'l experiment a bit.

And yea thanks, the cables are fairly easy to hide with this case. Lot's of room behind motherboard tray.

Today I went to Fry's and just happened to see a white 410 right next to the full size phantom in black and the 410 looked rather cheap because it was to compact for the curves and angles to work for it. I also did not like how the bay drive door opened because its not clearly marked or easy figure out unless you know the case. The psu fan filter was a joke being a sheet that was not able to slide out easily without turning the case on its side... I am glad they made a smaller case for people who don't have alot of room for a big case I just wish they would have done a little better job to live up to the standards of the full phantom.

Congrats to making a 410 club NZXT cases are awesome!

so the one legitimately possible issue with the case you pointed out is not something most people have noticed. I honestly have no care for fan filters
tongue.gif

but yeah i love the full phantoms but ive seen the white mid and full side by side and i preferred the look of the 410's door

Its just me, i find any plastic in the color white cheap, unless it made from the really good stuff. Otherwise id say NZXT choose white, because its there most populer order. I might be wrong, nice case though, ill stick with the original.

Having a hard time deciding what color I want to order. Leaning towards black because it is easiest to buy parts for and do mods on in my opinion.

The white is nice though and red would piss off my fiancee (jealousy).

I've got till I get back from my ski trip on Sunday to decide. Hopefully they go on sale somewhere and more people post pics of their systems between now and then to help me choose

i will probably have new pics of mine up by then.
the red one is nice but the plastic and metal dnt quite match:

You know, I thought the different hues of red would bother me, but they don't. Besides, it isn't nearly as extreme in person. The flash of the cameras tend to highlight the difference more. At some point I might paint some sort of design into the side panels anyways. I just have to come up with a good idea first.

yeah the newegg tutorial made it seem really bad but the girl seemed to like the color a lot.

#22 ·
Even the white one has a slight colour (color) change from the plastic to metal, it's hard to notice unless you have a bright light on it. The red looks really nice but i think i would get sick off it after a while, I chose the white because it looks nice and wont show dust as bad as the black.

Hopefully they should help you choose.
