Dell U2412M on the way.. What to expect, things to know? - Page 2

It's perfectly fine as a gaming monitor; screen tearing isn't so much a problem on the screen's end, unless you want to fault it for not being 120hz.

As for the OP, I've been rather impressed by my U2412M. The only cons to it would be the slight grain from the anti-glare coating (personally I don't have any problems with this, but some people have), and the slight reverse ghosting. If you're overly sensitive to either of those you may notice them, but I haven't.

yup that's all for now, i got no other complaints (i hope not).

I just received mine today and I love it!

As for the screen tearing my 470's SLI are having NO tearing or graphical issues what so ever, so I would definitely look at your card or something..

I've noticed the "anti-glare" you're talking about and yeah, it doesn't bother me at all. Yeah, it may not look at bright as my ASUS monitor, but it was always too bright IMO.

Once I got everything calibrated and adjusted to my liking I'm really loving this monitor. That 8ms input lag they talk about is NOT noticeable at all. No tearing, no ghosting, and the color accuracy is just amazing. Will post pictures and such and edit the OP for my experience etc..

I got mine a week ago and its great. The colors are really vibrant and anti-reflective coating is barely noticeable. I prefer it over the Asus 120hz monitor that I was using before.

nice, might try to fit this into my budget(been using a 17" dell monitor for almost 10 years without problem but sadly its only vga);OP can you post screens of games/ movies(dx11 and bluray is possible)? also are you using dvi or display port(will help greatly with video card decision)

whoa i never realized that my radeon could've caused this. i used viewsonic va1703wb before and the tearing wouldn't so noticeable, that's why i have to enabled the vsync for now.
ok i will look into it. thx man.
