Hello OCN! I am curious how much time everyone has put into their rigs.

Thread Starter
I have only been in the rig-building "business" for just over a year now.
Since I know practically no one who makes custom computers, I was wondering the average time one would spend on their rig.
Mine was definitely a few days (not counting the man-hours to pay this thing off).
Mine is a continuing ongoing process. I am constantly looking for upgrades, redoing cable management, painting, cleaning, upgrading, tweaking etc.

"If it ain't broke keep fixin' it." or "If it ain't on fire clock it higher!"

A little over / close to $2000 if you include peripherals and such.

And I just realized this was "how much time, and not "how much money"... so fail. As far as time, not too sure. I spend more time dealing with diagnosing crossfire related blue screens than playing my games tongue.gif

I spent maybe an hour putting together the rig in my sig and maybe 3 hours total messing with it after that... Its been over a year now since iv set everything up.
With that being said, I was unhappy with my cooling and the aesthetics (crappy raid max budget case) of my rig the moment I finished building it.
So for the last year (innumerable hours planing and thinking) iv been designing a custom scratch build case that will shame most (all but the really nice stuff rolleyes.gif) consumer cases in terms of aesthetics (in my point of view) and in cooling (both air flow and water).

The only thing holding me up at this point (parts and material are purchased) is getting a hold of a local laser cutting shop... iv been after tham for well over a month now and ABSOLUTELY NO REPLY... mad.gif
