Yep.. a LOT more than the 'Egg, and with Bestbuy you get sales tax on top of it.

He never asked for local retailers.. so I guess Newegg is just fine.

Interesting link, The Duke.

And as for retailers, all, it ultimately doesn't matter to me where it comes from. But, I tend to be on such a tight budget that even sales tax can be a boon!

Thus, if a Raptor is in your plans now, RAID should also be. You can always keep the drives later for back up or so.
All things considered, yeah I'd like to go RAID. But when I toss the ol' bank account into the mix, right now I really can't afford over $100. Hence, I'm thinking a lot about that 250gb hd for now. Maybe RAID with my next overhaul.

I dunno... I guess I could stretch and do RAID now, but it doesn't seem to make sense, since I'm wanting to port daily workings over to Linux and leave Windows for gaming, y'know?
