Phobya Push Button help

Hey All

Just bought a Phobya Push Button, which im trying to connect a Molex connector to, which would then control my Flex Light

The push button is this one.

but i have no idea how to connect the wires to the push button,

there are a total of 6 connectors, looking like below

the flex light needs 12v to power on, so i would need to use the yellow wirer 12V and the Black Ground wire.

but where to i place them ?

would you need to cross the wires ? so 1 wirer goes from 1 - 2 (the yellow for example ) and the other goes from 3 - 4 (Black - Ground)

and what does the NC and No stand for..
NO = Normally Open
NC = Normally Closed

Not sure i understand the thermology here ? NC = 12V ?

Normally open means that those two contacts are open until the button is pressed . Normally closed means that those two contacts are closed until the button is pressed and they are broken.

Your switch seems to be a push-button that does not latch. When you push in your switch, your flex-light will light, but as soon as you let go, it will go off again. Is this the desired effect?

That wasn't really the desired effect, but when you explain it, i can see that this is how it would work :-/

There are circuits you could use in order to implement the switch that you have, but it would be much easier to use a latching-type switch in the first place such as a SPST or SPDT.
