amazon warehouse. Used-Like New 295 out the door. Amazon has one of the best customer services. IF there's anything wrong then they will take care of the shipping cost. And you still get the full manufacture warranty I believe.

oooooooooooooo my bad lol. where are u getting the 448 for 230? :O The 448 will perform better... it overclocks really well. Idk about the VRAM issue with BF3 some people have problems some dont. If ur sticking with 1080p then i dont see anything wrong with grabbing a 1.3gb card.

honestly, the link I gave lol. When you think about it this is being built for bf3, and it comes with that, and batman, another game my friend would buy anyways, so its really quite easy to take those values out of the price, so even accounting for no rebate and shipping it comes out to about 230$. and 6950s unlocked are about that same price so.

Hmm You could grab a 6950 and try to unlock.... I think companies stop putting the bios switch on the card. It's really up to you though. You can't go wrong with either.

On a single 1920x1200 resolution monitor or less VRAM dosen't eqate to higher FPS actually. So I've included some proof with those very games that are VRAM intense. Look closely and you will see that even over clocked the GTX 560Ti 448 is beating the AMD 6950 2GB card.

GTX 560Ti 448 1.280GB over the AMD 6950 1GB or 2GB on single 1920x1200 resolution monitor. thumb.gif

BATTLEFIELD 3

451

CRYSIS 2

451

WITCHER 2

450

METRO 2033

688

3D MARK11

700

These benches shown are without any MSAA where Nvidia does well in to show you a fair comparison in performance without either having any advantages btw.

Ok now to talk a little about the unlocked 6950 performance which dosen't equate but very little if just heavily overclocked. Read this article by another OCN member doing some tests.

Stock vs Unlocked HD 6950 -
Quote:
Summary

Locked HD 6950 overclocked to HD 6970 speeds performs within 2% of a HD 6970
My locked HD 6950 overclocked to max performs about the same as a HD 6970
My unlocked HD 6950 overclocked to max performs 3% better than a HD 6970

As for the GTX 560Ti 448 which is already at stock pretty close to the 570/6970 performance it over clocks higher than either unlocked 6950 or heavily over clocked 6950.

When the AMD 6950 was being compared to the 560Ti at the end of benching though both came close to performance the 6950 edged out in performance. Then the GTX 560Ti 448 came out and changed that scenario.

So OP if you can pick up the 448 for the same price as the 6950, it shouldn't too hard of a decision. That's my two cents. Hope this helps.
