I just bought this one for CrossfireX with my Sapphire Dirt 3 Edition 6950. They both are unlocked and OC'd to 930/1375 @1.17. :thumb:The Diamond, being a reference style cooler, is much louder than the Sapphire, but it works well for CrossfireX, because it blows the hot air out of the back of the case, rather than all around inside the case. I would recommend picking up the Diamond. It is on sale at Microcenter right now. Link

ANY ... and I do mean ANY HD-6950 has SOME sort of chance at UNLOCKING the HD-6970's 1536 shaders ... the LEVEL of success of that Chance varies GREATLY from different cards and different brands though and some brands like Sapphire make this process so super simple easy and safe for the end user to try and attempt, while other brands say like XFX are about the last card I'd buy and recommend trying this with, as you may be left with a $250 paper weight if you don't know what you're doing  ... there's SO MANY THREADS and so much info about this topic you really should do yourself a favor and do some RESEARCH about it before you make a poor choice and maybe even BRICK your investment.
