[CVG] EA's Origin adds games from 11 more publishers - Page 5

Never even been in the steam forums, so I doubt I'll ever log into Origins.

Wonder what games they will be.

Didn't mean it in a bad way, more of the idea how I play games not the service
Im aware Origin is leagues above GFWL
I have no problems with Origin unlike GFWL
The cash exchange for it is just ass, I think its how they get people to pay more money than they should for products

Personally I miss the days when PC games had no DRM and no required programs just to run a game, Steam and Origin isn't even that great either.

So is that the deal with that? I tried the Battlefield 3 Beta. I once uninstalled the beta, which did remove it from showing up. Once I reinstalled Origin (due to a reinstall of the OS due to an upgrade), it was back in my list, although as it was never installed, I can't uninstall it again.

I hope this is something they'll fix and not pass over. It doesn't bother me much, but still. I'll probably contact support to have it removed if that's the routine.

It's more the other way around. They have to sell their product through as many outlets as possible until they feel comfortable enough in their platform that they can only do it there, which is where they seem to be moving. Just look at Valve. It'll be the same with EA soon.

Steam advertises Valve titls more too but at least with Steam you know that they're coming out with only 1 game every 2 years on average.

So steam is less evil because they produce less games. Gotcha... Makes sense.

Having to rummage around your room to find a game CD and putting it in your computer for every single game was a hell of a lot more hassle than a program that starts automatically in the background when you join a server or at startup though. Or two clicks to quit steam if you have two-program-phobia for that matter.

I have no real issues with Origin or steam, it is the prices of their games I find offensive.rolleyes.gif

Fixed - it only makes sense this way as Steam is known for it's sales and giveaways. EA for it's... takeaways.

Not that I really plan on buying anything other than BF3 (and future BF games) through Origin, but competition is good. The more competition, the better the prices! It's a win-win, people.
